Ficções familiares no cinema português de curta-metragem

O presente relatório expõe as tarefas e funções desenvolvidas ao longo do estágio curricular em assistência de produção nas produtoras Cimbalino Filmes e Olhar de Ulisses, no âmbito do Mestrado de Cinema da Escola das Artes da Universidade Católica Portuguesa. A partir da participação e interesse na pré-produção e rodagens da curta-metragem Hiato, de Luís Pedro Cardoso, instigou-se uma investigação sobre as ficções familiares no cinema português. Desse modo, o relatório apresenta um breve enquadramento histórico do contexto anterior aos filmes escolhidos, o da Geração Curtas, uma análise de conceitos distintos de unidade familiar, especialmente o de Claude Lévi-Strauss e Philippe Ariès, e uma exposição de temas da ficção familiar. A fim de evidenciar a família como elemento narrativo, capaz de expor conflitos internos e refletir questões sociais e culturais do país.
This report presents the tasks and functions developed throughout the curricular internship in production assistance at the companies Cimbalino Filmes and Olhar de Ulisses, carried out within the framework of the Master’s in Cinema at the School of Arts, Catholic University of Portugal. Participation and interest in the pre-production and shooting of the short film Hiato, directed by Luís Pedro Cardoso, prompted an investigation into family fictions in Portuguese cinema. Accordingly, the report offers a brief historical overview of the context preceding the selected films, namely the Geração Curtas, an analysis of distinct concepts of the family unit, particularly those of Claude Lévi-Strauss and Philippe Ariès, and a discussion of central themes within family fiction. The aim is to highlight the family as a narrative element capable of exposing internal conflicts and reflecting the social and cultural issues of the country.
