O relatório foi realizado no âmbito do III Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem, com
especialização em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, na unidade curricular de estágio. A
realização deste relatório permite dar continuidade ao projecto de estágio que foi elaborado
com base nos objectivos gerais, preconizados no guia orientador de estágio.
O relatório está dividido em quatro domínios: prestação de cuidados, gestão de cuidados,
responsabilidade profissional, ética e legal, e desenvolvimento de aprendizagens. Em cada um
destes domínios são abordados, de forma reflexiva, os objectivos atingidos no estágio, as
actividade, as aprendizagens, as dificuldades e o modo como foram ultrapassadas, bem como
as situações problema detectadas e as estratégias implementadas para a resolução das
mesmas, para que a prestação de cuidados, atinja um maior nível de qualidade e
complexidade, na área de especialização em Médico-Cirúrgica.
Na construção do relatório, foi utilizada uma metodologia descritiva, com base no projecto de
estágio, no guia orientador de estágio, na observação, na reflexão, na pesquisa bibliográfica
referente a vários assuntos e no diálogo e esclarecimentos fornecidos pela Professora
orientadora.
As suas principais finalidades são: verificar o modo como os objectivos foram atingidos, de que
forma e a que nível; dar visibilidade às actividades desenvolvidas; reflectir criticamente sobre o
percurso de aprendizagem, relatando situações problema mais complexos e, finalmente,
demonstrar o que foi feito para a aquisição/desenvolvimento de competências.
A elaboração deste trabalho contribuiu não só, para o desenvolvimento de conhecimentos e
capacidades, mas também para uma fundamentação da prestação dos cuidados e o
desenvolvimento de competências técnicas e científicas, contribuindo desta forma para o nosso
desenvolvimento, não como meros prestadores de cuidados, mas como futuros Enfermeiros
especialistas na área de Médico-Cirúrgica.
De forma sucinta, as principais aprendizagens realizadas focalizaram-se: na gestão de
cuidados de Enfermagem na área de especialização; no desenvolvimento de conhecimentos
específicos; na demonstração de consciência crítica para os problemas da prática profissional
relacionados com o cliente/família; na adequação dos diferentes métodos de análise de
situações complexas segundo uma perspectiva académica avançada; na formulação e análise
das questões problema de maior complexidade, relacionados com a formação em
Enfermagem, de forma autónoma, sistemática e crítica.
The report refers to the 3rd Nursing Masters Course, with specialisation in Medical Surgical Nursing in the traineeship curricular unit. The completion of this report has allowed the continuation of the internship project, which was based on the general objectives stated in the internship supervision guide. The report is divided into four main areas: care, care management, professional, ethical and legal responsibility and learning. In each one of these areas the activities and achievements of the internship, the learning process, the activities and the objectives attained during the internship, difficulties and strategies to overcome problems so as to achieve a higher level of quality and complexity in the boundaries of Medical-Surgical specialisation and other problemsolving strategies were all approached in a reflexive manner. In developing the report, we used a descriptive methodology, based on the internship project, the internship supervision guide, observation, reflection and literature related to various issues. The guidance and the enlightening discussions with the orientator teacher were also of the utmost importance. The main purposes of the report are to determine how and to what extent the objectives were achieved, to give visibility to the activities, to reflect critically upon the learning process by reporting more complex problematic situations, and last but not least to show how the acquisition and development of skills was accomplished. The implementation of this project not only contributed to the development of knowledge and skills, but also to the fundamentation of health care as well as the development of technical and scientific expertise, thus contributing to our development, not as mere providers of care, but as future Nursing specialists in the Medical-Surgical area. In short, it is fair to say that learning focussed on the following aspects: the management of nursing care in the specialization area, the development of specific knowledge, the demonstration of critical awareness to the problems of professional practice related to the client/family; the adequacy of different methods for analyzing complex situations according to an advanced academic perspective, the formulation and analysis of problems of wider complexity related to an independent, systematic and critical training in Nursing
