No contexto de ensino profissional, onde se insere este estudo, numa época dita contemporânea, os
alunos atravessam uma crise de identidade, patente nos domínios da cultura, sociedade, personalidade e
identidade demasiado individualista. No processo de sociabilização, procurámos intervir no sentido de
sensibilizar os alunos para usar o Design Gráfico como ferramenta social.
Consideramos importante permitir aos alunos ascender a um novo patamar de conhecimento como
membros integrantes da escola, futuros profissionais e essencialmente como pessoas com valores sólidos e
coerentes. O ensino profissional e artístico visa a inserção dos alunos, orientando-os para a integração e o
desenvolvimento relacional, com professores e alunos. Aliados às preocupações éticas e estéticas do Design
Gráfico, aumentam o crescimento técnico, ético e social.
Qualquer profissional na área do Design deverá, sempre, ter a preocupação das melhores opções a tomar
na procura da solução, nomeadamente a procura do outro, do conhecimento que o mesmo poderá partilhar e que
vai fazer a diferença entre o sucesso ou o fracasso do trabalho. Quando se unifica o design gráfico, o ensino
profissional e a sustentabilidade social, então temos todo o potencial, enquanto professores, de formar jovens
preocupados e interessados em dar o seu contributo, tornando-se pessoas idóneas e coesas.
In a so-called contemporary era, and in the context of vocational education and training, aimed by this work research, students suffer an identity crisis, in what concerns culture, society, personality and an excessive individualistic character. In the socializing process, we try to intervene in order to increase students’ awareness and promote the use of Graphic Design as a social tool. We think it is important to allow students to reach a new level of knowledge as fully integrated members of school, as future professionals and, essentially, as individuals with solid and coherent values. Vocational and artistic training aims the insertion of students, guiding them for integration and relationship evolution with teachers and other students. Thus, and together with Graphic Design ethical and aesthetic concerns, they widen their technical, ethical and social development. Any professional in Design area should always be concerned about taking the best options while searching for solutions, namely searching for the other, for the knowledge that he, or she, will share and that will make the difference between success or failure of their work. When Graphic Design, vocational training and social sustainability are united, then we, as teachers, will have all the potential to educate and train youths who are concerned and interested in doing their share, becoming accomplished and harmonious human beings.
