Abstract(s)
A violência doméstica conjugal contra as mulheres é um problema social complexo que transporta para a vida destas mulheres grandes e severos impactos. A compreensão da importância sobre os processos e percursos de resiliência de mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica pode traduzir-se numa ferramenta norteadora aos sistemas de apoio a vítimas de violência doméstica, com intuito de facilitar a construção da autonomia das mesmas. Num outro espetro, pode ser um motivo de esperança e de acreditar para aquelas que ainda estão a construir os seus percursos.
Neste sentido, a presente dissertação de mestrado encerra uma proposta de investigação que tem como intenção, compreender e analisar aspetos mais específicos deste problema social, nomeadamente compreender os processos de resiliência de mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica em contexto de Casa Abrigo, por via da identificação e interação de fatores de proteção e de risco. Uma segunda intenção prende-se com o acompanhamento social e com as estratégias de intervenção por parte dos profissionais técnicos de apoio à vítima em contexto de Casa Abrigo. Esta intenção tem como intuito compreender e analisar de que forma estão a contribuir para aumentar a resiliência de mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica conjugal, identificando-se concomitantemente os fatores de risco e de proteção.
Para a sua concretização recorreu-se à metodologia qualitativa, onde foram efetuadas entrevistas semidiretivas, acendendo-se às experiências e vivências de profissionais de acolhimento e acompanhamento social a mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica conjugal. Através destas conclui-se que a construção de percursos de resiliência de vítimas de violência doméstica, tece-se na interação de fatores de risco e de proteção que se inserem aos níveis pessoal, relacional e social da vida destas. O papel dos profissionais e das boas práticas de intervenção e acompanhamento social tornam-se relevantes e preponderantes para a construção destes percursos. A vontade da mulher em romper com a relação e construir um novo projeto de vida, aliada à relação construída com os profissionais aparecem como gatilhos determinantes para a autonomização, realização e resiliência das mulheres.
Marital domestic violence against women is a complex social problem that carries big and severe impacts to the lives of these women. On the one hand, understanding the importance of the pathways and resilience processes of the victims of domestic violence can help us elaborate on a guiding tool that can be used by support systems for victims of domestic violence, such as Safe Houses, in order to facilitate the construction of the autonomy of these women. On the other hand, it can give the victims hope and the confidence needed to surpass the difficulties and keep on building a new life. In this sense, the present master’s dissertation intends to understand and analyze specific aspects of this social problem, in particular the processes of resilience of the victims of violence in the context of a Safe House, through the identification and analysis of the interaction between factors of protection and risk. The second intention is to understand, by identifying the risk and protective factors, how the social monitoring and intervention strategies from Safe House’s professionals to the increasing resilience of women victims of domestic violence. To achieve these aims, qualitative methodology was used: semi-directional interviews were conducted to Safe Houses’ professionals, in which they were asked to share their experiences, with women victims of domestic violence. One can conclude from these interviews that the construction of resilience tof victims of domestic violence, weaves in interaction of risk and protective factors within the personal, relational and social levels of their lives. The role of professionals and best practices of intervention and social monitoring becomes relevant and compelling on the construction of their journey. The willingness of women in breaking up with the relationship and build a new life project, together with the relationship built with Safe House’s professionals appear as determinants triggers of empowerment, achievement and resilience of women.
