Depois de uma exposição do desenvolvimento do pensamento acerca dos anjos, ao
longo da história, faz-se uma reflexão acerca do conceito de mediação, tendo por fundamento
a mediação de Cristo. Estabelecendo o conceito de anjo como mediação de Deus e o modo
como o ser humano experimenta a realidade, visível e invisível, pretende-se conhecer na prática
o que pensam os crentes e não crentes acerca dos anjos, assim como as práticas religiosas a que
recorrem para expressar, porventura, a crença na existência de anjos. Para tal foi desenvolvido
e aplicado um estudo, que abrangia a população da região do Minho, e posteriormente,
analisados os dados obtidos. De modo disruptivo, foi aplicado o mesmo estudo a um recurso de
inteligência artificial, o ChatGPT.
After an exposition of the development of thought about angels, throughout history, a reflection is made on the concept of mediation, based on the mediation of Christ. Establishing the concept of angel as God's mediation and the way human beings experience reality, visible and invisible, we intend to know in practice what believers and non-believers think about angels, as well as the religious practices they use to express, perhaps, the belief in the existence of angels. For that, a study was developed and applied to the population of the Minho region, and, afterwards, the data obtained was analysed. In a disruptive way, the same study was applied to an artificial inteligence resource, the ChatGPT.
