O presente relatório, inserido no âmbito do Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem com Especialização em Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica da Universidade Católica Portuguesa do Porto, visa a reflexão do percurso realizado ao longo do estágio de Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica, decorrido durante os três módulos de estágio: Módulo I – Saúde Infantil, Módulo II – Serviços de Medicina e Cirurgia em contexto de doença aguda e crónica e Módulo III – Serviço de Urgência Pediátrica e Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatais, com vista à aquisição de competências para a prestação de cuidados especializados à criança/família. As competências definidas no plano de estudos foram agrupadas em quatro domínios de atuação do Enfermeiro Especialista, nomeadamente na área da gestão, formação, investigação e prestação de cuidados, e daí descritas, de forma crítica, as atividades realizadas nos diferentes contextos assistenciais. A salientar, em termos de resultados obtidos, a formação em serviço subordinada ao tema “Infeção associada aos cuidados de saúde e tipos de isolamento”, realizada em contexto de Módulo II, a elaboração de um pré-projeto no âmbito dos Cuidados Continuados Integrados Pediátricos, aquando da realização do Módulo I, e a análise critico-reflexiva da intervenção do Enfermeiro Especialista, no que concerne à área de Gestão. A prestação de cuidados especializados à criança/ família, representou a centralidade do processo de aquisição de competências, ao assistir 225 crianças/família em diferentes faixas etárias, mais especificamente 50 em contexto de cuidados de saúde primários, 90 em situações de doença aguda e/ou crónica em serviços de internamento de pediatria, 60 em contexto de serviço de urgência e 25 na unidade de cuidados intensivos neonatais. Este relatório de estágio possibilitou todo um processo critico-reflexivo, bem como a aquisição de competências adquiridas ao longo de todo um processo formativo na área de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica, sendo a metodologia descritivo-reflexiva, a utilizada na concretização do mesmo.
As part of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa do Porto Nursing Masters Course with a specialization in Infant Health and Pediatric Nursing, this abstract reflects the journey made throughout the Infant Health and Pediatric Nursing work placement, during the three work placement modules: Module I - Infant Health, Module II - Surgical and Medical Services in acute and chronic illness contexts and Module III - Emergency Pediatric Services and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, with a view to acquire patient care skills specialized to the child, family. The skills defined in the study plan were grouped in four working domains of the Specialized Nurse, namely in the area of management, training, investigation and patient care, and from there described in a critical way the activities realized in the different assisted contexts. Highlighting, in terms of results obtained, the work placement training within the topic “Infection associated to patient care and types of isolation”, realized in the Module II context, the elaboration of a pre-project, in the scope of the Integrated Pediatric Continuous Care, whilst doing Module I, and the auto critical analysis of the Specialized Nurse intervention, regarding management. Child/family patient care represented the main skills acquisition process, by assisting 225 children/family in different age groups, more specifically 50 in a primary health care context, 90 in situations of acute and/or chronic illness in pediatric internment services, 60 in an emergency service context and 25 in the neonatal intensive care unit. This work placement report allowed a total auto-critical process, as well as the acquisition of skills, throughout the whole formative process in the area of Infant Health and Pediatrics, being the auto-descriptive methodology used to achieve the same.
