Abstract(s)
A Medicina Dentária é um ramo da saúde que visa o estudo de todo o sistema estomatognático, bem como a sua interação com outras áreas anatómicas, nomeadamente cabeça e pescoço.
Numa primeira parte deste relatório, foram avaliadas variáveis com correlação à área da Medicina Dentária, que caracterizam o diverso leque de pacientes da Clínica Universitária de Viseu.
Foram analisadas e descritas individualmente, cada área disciplinar, dentro das quais Periodontologia, Medicina Oral, Cirurgia Oral, Odontopedriatria, Dentisteria Operatória, Prostodontia Removível, Prostodontia Fixa e por último Endodôntia. Adicionalmente foi realizada uma análise estatística cujo conteúdo se baseou na atividade decorrida ao longo do 5ºano do Mestrado Integrado em Medicina Dentária.
Como terceirio ponto deste relatório, foram descritos quatro casos clínicos diferenciados relacionados com as áreas disciplinares de Cirurgia Oral Dentisteria Operatória, Prostodontia Fixa e Odontopediatria.
Dentistry is the branch of health that aims to study the entire stomatognathic system, as well as its interaction with other anatomical areas, namely neck and head. In a first part of this report, we evaluated variables with correlation to the area of Dentistry, which characterize the diverse range of patients of the Universitary clinic of Viseu. Each disciplinary area was analyzed and described, including Periodontology, Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, Pediatric Dentistry, Operative Dentistry, Removable Prosthodontics and finally Endodontics. In addition to this, a statistical analysis was carried out, based on the activity carried out during the 5th year of the Integrated Masters in Dentistry. As a second point of this report, four different clinical cases related to the disciplinary areas of Oral Surgery, Operative Dentistry, Fixed Prosthodontics and Odontopediatrics were described.
