The present study aims to analyze the impact of obesity on executive functioning of Portuguese women over 18 years. The sample of 60 women, was distributed equally by two groups: the clinical group consisting of women suffering from type II and III obesity and the control group composed of women who did not suffer from obesity. In order to collect data, the following instruments were used: Stroop Color and Word Test, Memory of Letters and Numbers Test, Corsi Test and Trail Making Test. The results obtained allow us to conclude that the participants belonging to the control group presented higher mean results than the participants belonging to the clinical group in the majority of the applied tests. It was also found that, although the participants with severe obesity (Type III) had higher mean scores than those with obesity type II, there were only significant differences in the evidence of spatial location in most of the tests. It was observed, although the visual and spatial working memory was negatively correlated with BMI.
