In recent decades we have seen an increasing development and impact from the Internet and new information technology. Thus, media convergence became inevitable. As other sectors, radio is striving to adapt and make the most of both online and new forms of technology. Consequently, an additional way of communicating through radio has been developing. In addition to sound, digital platforms open doors to share image, text or video. It is essential to understand how traditional media has changed, adapted and taken advantage of the various digital platforms. The present dissertation is the result of a traineeship carried out from September 2015 to March 2016, in the production area of M80 radio. Its main objective is to analyse how M80 uses various online tools for the dissemination of radio content. After a brief historical overview, the dissertation discusses the concepts of interactivity and convergence between the different media, and the possibilities of distributing radio content through podcasts, streaming, mobile applications and social media.
