Resumo(s)
No âmbito da New Media Art, desafiei-me a explorar a multidisciplinaridade na minha prática artística.
Within the field of New Media Art, I challenged myself to explore divergence to its fullest by thinking as a multidisciplinary artist, refusing to confine myself to a single language within the arts. Abismo is an artistic installation that dives into the depths of the ocean, revealing the waste that ends up there – often without our awareness about it. By using discarded materials to raise questions about how we deal with garbage, the invisible impact of our presence on Earth becomes visible. This project proposes a warning, mainly, a sensory one, about the way we treat the marine ecosystem – which is fundamental to life, to our breathing, yet constantly neglected. Through an empirical method, Abismo unfolds as an investigation based on direct observation, experimentation, and lived experience. It is a final project anchored in urgent contemporary themes, deeply connected to nature, that regards art as a means for raising awareness, reflection, and transformation.
