A constatação da realidade atual da casa comum e das sombras do mundo fechado que pairam sobre a nossa Humanidade, são o ponto de partida desta investigação. Nas Cartas Encíclicas, Laudato Si’ e Fratelli Tutti, o Papa Francisco coloca o dedo na ferida perante a indiferença, o egoísmo, a ausência do cuidado com o outro e do cuidado do planeta Terra. Mas também nos desafia a caminhar na esperança. Esta investigação vai incidir sobre este percurso de esperança, perante esta realidade sombria, e os desafios de esperança do Papa Francisco. A nossa investigação vai incidir sobre o papel da esperança cristã e quais os percursos de esperança e de mudança abertos pelo Papa Francisco. Esta investigação pretende fazer a ligação da esperança cristã com o sentido para a vida, na Unidade Letiva 6 do ensino secundário da disciplina de Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica. Um percurso de esperança que nos interroga e nos faz acreditar. Um percurso de esperança que não é vã, mas uma esperança cristã de superação e salvação neste tempo de pandemia, uma esperança que dá um sentido à vida, pois «é na esperança que somos salvos» (Rm 8,24).
A factuality of the current reality of our common Home and the shadows of a closed world that hover above our Humanity, are the starting point of this investigation. In the Encyclical letters, Laudato Si' and Fratelli Tutti, Pope Francis, rubs salt on the wounds concerning the indifference, selfishness, lack of care with each other and caring for the planet Earth. Although it also challenges us to take a leap of faith. This investigation will coincide with this path of hope, towards this dark reality, and the faith challenges by Pope Francis. Our investigation will concern the purpose of a christian faith and which are the paths of hope and change proposed by Pope Francis. This investigation plans to align Christian hope together with the meaning of life, In Unidade Letiva Six of high school from the subject educação moral e religiosa católica. A pathway of faith that questions ourselves and that guides us towards believing. A path of hope that is not in vain, but is a Christian hope of overcoming and salvation in these times of the pandemic, a belief that gives life meaning, as "it is within hope that we are rescued" (Rm 8,24
