This internship report analyzes the role of internal communication as a driver for employee motivation and engagement, using my internship at Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal, in Braga, as a case study. The research seeks to understand how the concept and functioning of organizational communication contribute to strengthening the sense of belonging, internal cohesion, and corporate culture within a highly complex industrial and technological ecosystem. The adopted methodology follows a mixed-matrix approach with a predominantly qualitative nature. It combines participant observation, resulting from an eight-month professional immersion (April 2025 to January 2026) in the Human Resources Department, in coordination with the Communication Department, with a semi-structured interview conducted with an Internal Communication manager and a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms to employees across various functional areas. The results demonstrate that communication at Bosch Braga is perceived as clear, coherent, and informative, playing a structural role in consolidating organizational identity. However, the investigation identified a tension between informative efficiency and the ability to reach certain employees in a timely manner, as well as challenges in discerning essential information. The findings reveal that motivation and engagement are enhanced when communication shifts from a merely transmissive model to a participatory and bidirectional strategy. Among the main conclusions, the transformative potential of digitalization via the "My Bosch App" stands out in democratizing access to information, although challenges regarding segmentation and the inclusion of off-site teams persist. This study reinforces the premise that internal communication only reaches its full motivational potential when centered on the employee's experience and recognition.
