Abstract(s)
Este relatório surge no âmbito do Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem na área de
Especialização em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, do Instituto de Ciências da Saúde da
Universidade Católica Portuguesa, e pretende realçar de forma crítica e reflexiva as
atividades e competências desenvolvidas ao longo dos estágios realizados, assim com a
importância no desenvolvimento e desempenho das funções como enfermeira especialista.
No decorrer dos estágios, foram prestados cuidados individualizados e especializados à
pessoa e família com doença crónica e ou paliativa e também à pessoa e família em
situação crítica. O estágio referente ao Módulo I foi desenvolvido num Serviço de um
Hospital Central, permitindo mobilizar e adquirir conhecimentos e competências na área
dos cuidados prestados à pessoa com doença crónica e/ou paliativa nas diferentes áreas da
urgência, fomentando-se a formação em serviço, sublimando a importância da avaliação da
Escala de Borg para avaliação da dispneia, na promoção do conforto da pessoa. O estágio
relativo ao Módulo II Cuidados Intensivos foi alvo de creditação tendo em conta a minha
atividade profissional como enfermeira numa unidade de insuficiência cardíaca e numa
unidade de cuidados intermédios de cardiologia de um hospital central da região de Lisboa,
tendo sido realizada uma reflexão crítica acerca das atividades realizadas e das
competências desenvolvidas ao longo da minha experiência profissional.
O Módulo III correspondeu um estágio opcional que incidiu sobre programa de prevenção
e controlo de infeção e resistência aos antimicrobianos realizado no hospital central,
permitindo mobilizar e adquirir conhecimentos e competências à pessoa e família em
situação crítica, realizando uma formação em serviço sobre cuidados de enfermagem
especializados para a prevenção da infeção do trato urinário (ITU) associado à algaliação,
promovendo a melhoria contínua dos cuidados de enfermagem. Foi realizado uma revisão
sistemática da literatura sobre esta temática, sendo este o tema primordial deste relatório.
No final deste relatório relato as conclusões do trabalho efetuado e que penso terem
contribuído para a sustentabilidade de uma prestação de cuidados em enfermagem com
qualidade, competência, segurança, ciência e humanismo, progredindo no sentido da
autonomia na prática clínica especializada, atributos que acompanharão o meu exercício
profissional diário.
This report is presented in the scope of the Master in Nursing Course in the specialization area of Medical-Surgical Nursing, of the Health Sciences Institute of the Portuguese Catholic University, and intends to highlight critically and reflexively the activities and skills developed during the internships, as well as the importance in the development and performance as Specialist Nurse. In the course of the internship, individualized and specialized care was provided to the person, and their family, with chronic or palliative illness as well as to the Person, and family, in critical situation. The stage for Module I was developed in a Central Hospital Service, allowing mobilizing and acquiring knowledge and skills in the area of care provided to the person with chronic or palliative illness in the different areas of urgency. In this way, in-service training was promoted, sublimating the importance of the evaluation of the Borg Scale for the evaluation of dyspnoea, in promoting the comfort of the hospitalized patients. The stage related to Module II Intensive Care was credited for performing functions as a nurse in the Cardiac Insufficiency Service and an intermediate care unit of cardiology at a central hospital in the Lisbon region. In this chapter there is a critical reflection on the activities carried out and the skills developed during my professional experience. Module III corresponded to an optional stage that focused on an antimicrobial infection prevention and control program carried out at the central hospital, allowing the mobilization and acquisition of knowledge and skills for the Person and family in a critical situation, performing in-service training on nursing care Specialized for the prevention of the infection of the urinary tract associated to the catheterization, promoting the continuous improvement of the nursing care. A systematic review of the literature on this subject was carried out, which is the main theme of this report. At the end is reported the conclusions of the work carried out which I believe have contributed to the sustainability of nursing care with quality, competence, safety, science and humanism, progressing towards autonomy in specialized clinical practice, attributes that are required to daily practice.
