Abstract(s)
Com a rápida aceleração das novas tecnologias, o paradigma a que as organizações se
deparam atualmente é altamente competitivo, exigente e de mudança. Desta forma, as
organizações têm de encontrar novas formas de motivar e satisfazer as suas pessoas. Posto
isto, a comunicação interna pode contribuir para aumentar o engagement dos colaboradores
através de diversas ações que visem envolver e informar.
A presente investigação procura analisar o papel da comunicação interna na geração de
engagement junto dos colaboradores da Altice Portugal através de uma metodologia mista
que tem como base a realização de uma base qualitativa para apuramento dos dados
exploratórios, através de análise documental, observação direta e participante e entrevistas
exploratórias e, para apuramento dos dados primários, uma base quantitativa através da
realização de um inquérito por questionário.
Através da análise realizada, esta investigação confirmou segundo as hipóteses em
investigação que a comunicação interna contribui, através de diversas ações, para aumentar
o engagement dos colaboradores. Nesta investigação foram dados vários exemplos onde são
divulgadas muitas das iniciativas internas, como é o caso da intranet My Altice. Para além
disto, foi também mencionado as comunicações que são enviadas para os colaboradores
desde assuntos relacionados com empresa, negócio ou clientes e que contribuem para o
aumento do engagement dos colaboradores para com a organização.
With the rapid acceleration of new technologies, the paradigm facing organisations today is highly competitive, demanding and changing. Thus, organisations have to find new ways to motivate and satisfy their people. This being said, internal communication can contribute to increasing employee engagement through various actions aimed at involving and informing. This research seeks to analyse the role of internal communication in generating engagement among the employees of Altice Portugal through a mixed methodology based on a qualitative basis for exploratory data, through document analysis, direct and participant observation and exploratory interviews and, for primary data, a quantitative basis through a questionnaire survey. Through the analysis performed, this research confirmed according to the hypotheses under investigation that internal communication contributes, through various actions, to increase employee engagement. In this research several examples were given where many of the internal initiatives are disclosed, such as the My Altice intranet. In addition, it was also mentioned the communications that are sent to the employees from matters related with the company, business or customers and that contribute to the increase of the engagement of the employees with the organization.
