| dc.description.abstract | A presente dissertação analisa a integração da InteligĂȘncia Artificial (IA) na corporate governance, destacando suas vantagens e riscos. A IA, com a sua capacidade superior de coleta, armazenamento e processamento de dados, quando combinada com machine learning, pode desenvolver-se autonomamente, tomando decisĂ”es com base no ambiente que a rodeia. Este avanço tecnolĂłgico gera especulaçÔes sobre o seu impacto nas empresas, especialmente no ĂłrgĂŁo de administração, onde as suas potencialidades sĂŁo mais evidentes. Ao longo deste estudo vamo-nos debruçar sobre o significado de inteligĂȘncia artificial e corporate governance, com o objetivo de estabelecermos os fundamentos que nos permitam refletir sobre a influĂȘncia que a inteligĂȘncia artificial terĂĄ no funcionamento e na organização societĂĄria. | dc.description.abstract | The present dissertation analyzes the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in corporate governance, highlighting its advantages and risks. AI, with its superior capacity for data collection, storage, and processing, when combined with machine learning, can develop autonomously, making decisions based on the surrounding environment. This technological advancement generates speculations about its impact on companies, especially within the board of directors, where its potentialities are most evident. Throughout this study, we will delve into the meanings of artificial intelligence and corporate governance with the aim of establishing the foundations that will allow us to reflect on the influence that artificial intelligence will have on the functioning and organization of companies. In this context, the objective of this dissertation will be, considering the current and future capabilities of artificial intelligence, to understand in what ways this technology may influence corporate dynamics, particularly the functioning of the board of directors. | eng |
