Abstract(s)
This report was produced in the fourth semester of the Master’s degree in Sound and Image, at the School of Arts of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Porto. It is presented in the form of a curricular internship report and reflects the experience and the tasks carried out in the area of Computer Animation for the Studio Cereal Games, a StartUp located in the Azores, in the island of S. Miguel. The knowledge acquired in the first year of the course had a decisive influence on my academic enhancement and on my personal development and served as a basis and a positive encouragement for many of the topics dealt with in a professional context. The internship, that took four months, made it possible to put into practice the in-depth learning in the academic context (e.g. models and guiding principles of animation; the use of specific software; pre-production and post-production activities). It also enabled me to learn new strategies and methodologies, which were only possible in a professional environment. This document aims to report the details of the different stages of the internship: the concepts and systems learned, the application of the research done, the doubts and hesitations that followed on throughout the process and the pursuit of answers to these doubts.
