Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho surge no âmbito da disciplina de Relatório, inserida no plano
curricular do Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem de Especialização em Enfermagem
Comunitária, do Instituto das Ciências da Saúde da Universidade Católica do Porto.
Este relatório pretende demonstrar de que forma se desenvolveram as capacidades e
competências na identificação de problemas, raciocínios efectuados e atitudes tomadas,
ou seja, evidencia o crescimento pessoal e profissional em contexto de estágio.
Relaciona também as competências desenvolvidas com as actividades efectuadas.
Associado á velhice surge o papel do prestador de cuidados que maioritariamente
emerge do seio familiar. O desempenho do cuidado ao familiar dependente pelo
cuidador familiar constituiu-se como uma tarefa difícil, conduzindo á sobrecarga, pois
não existe uma preparação prévia para essa tarefa assim como a presença de laços
familiares levanta questões relativas ao funcionamento familiar, quer relativamente á
sua funcionalidade, quer à sua dinâmica.
Cuidar de quem cuida é uma responsabilidade e deverá ser uma preocupação de todos
nós, bem como dos decisores políticos. Os cuidadores familiares representam novos
desafios para a sociedade, sendo o papel dos enfermeiros desenvolver competências no
sentido de garantir uma resposta eficaz e adequada.
Neste contexto surge o projecto “Cuidar de Quem Cuida” que pretende ser um espaço
onde o cuidador terá acesso a formação e informação, com o envolvimento dos
profissionais de enfermagem que prestam cuidados no domicílio a seus familiares
dependentes.
This work comes under the Report discipline, included in the curriculum of the Masters Degree in Nursing Specialization in Community Nursing, Institute of Health Sciences at the Catholic University of Porto. This report aims to demonstrate the development of capabilities and skills in problem identification and reasoning made and actions taken, and to highlight the personal and professional growth in the context of probation. It also lists the skills developed through the activities performed. Associated with old age comes the role of caregiver that mainly arises from the family. The performance of the family care for dependent family caregiver was established as an essential task, leading to overload, because there is no preparedness for this task as well as the presence of family ties raises issues relating to family functioning, either with regard to its functionality, either to its dynamics Caring for the caregiver is a responsibility and should be a concern for all of us as well as policy makers. The family caregivers represent new challenges for society, being the role of nurses developing skills to ensure an effective and appropriate response. Here arises the project "Caring for the carers" which claims to be a place where the caregiver will have access to training and information, with the involvement of nurses who will provide home care to their dependents.
