| dc.description.abstract | O ofício docente vive enredado numa série de ilusões, algumas tecidas no seu interior, outras (a maioria) no seu exterior. Neste texto, identifi camos e analisamos de forma sumária as dez ilusões que entrevam e entravam o desenvolvimento da profi ssão docente: a ilusão do comando e do controlo; a ilusão de que o centro sabe (e pode) sempre mais do que periferias tristes; a ilusão de que a mudança pode ser decretada e a fi cção da autonomia; a ilusão romântica de que as escolas querem ser o centro nevrálgico e essencial do sistema educativo; a ilusão da liderança forte e messiânica que desresponsabiliza os liderados; a ilusão de que o contexto socioeconómico marca o destino escolar dos alunos; a ilusão de que a escola pode responder a todas as exigências sociais; a ilusão de que a escola é uma comunidade educativa; a ilusão de que o professor é um profi ssional; a ilusão da sala de aula como jardim secreto a preservar. Sustenta-se e procura-se fundamentar a tese de que estas ilusões precisam de ser superadas através de outros modos de ver, pensar, sentir a profi ssão, pois só assim será possível melhorar os processos e os resultados educativos. Neste âmbito, enunciam- -se dez passos que podem estruturar um processo de melhoria e referem-se dezassete ações-guia que permitem viver a escola de outro modo. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The craft of teaching is entangled in a series of illusions, some woven inside, other (mostly) on the outside. In this paper, we identify and analyze in a summary form the 10 illusions that prevent the full development of the teaching profession: the illusion of command and control, the illusion that the center knows (and can) always more than sad peripheries: the illusion that change can be enacted and the fiction of autonomy, the romantic illusion that schools want to be the nerve center, as well as essential in the educational system : the illusion of strong leadership that takes the responsibility away from the led : the illusion that the socio-economic context brand the fate of pupils; the illusion that the school can respond to all social demands: the illusion that the school can respond to all social demands: the illusion that the school is an educational community, the illusion that the teacher is a professional, the illusion of the classroom as a secret garden that must be preserved. It argues and seeks to support the thesis that these illusions need to be overcome through other ways of seeing, thinking, feeling the profession, because only then can we improve the processes and educational outcomes. In this context we describe 10 steps that can structure a process of improvement and 17 refer to actions guide that allow living the school otherwise. | |
