Abstract(s)
Introdução: Dada a complexidade das situações de saúde/doença das pessoas, o aumento da longevidade da população e o consequente incremento das doenças incuráveis, progressivas e de caráter avançado, a realidade do Serviço de Urgência (SU) é-nos apresentada com um aumento de utentes com doença crónica, incurável e progressiva. O serviço de urgência está intrinsecamente ligado a situações críticas preconizadas por atitudes curativas, devemo-nos dedicar de uma forma igualmente crescente à valorização da necessidade de prestar cuidados de índole não exclusiva-mente curativa emerge assim a questão que deu o ponto de partida para a realização desta investigação – Que intervenções paliativas são realizadas pelos enfermeiros num serviço de urgência? Objetivo: Identificar as intervenções paliativas realizadas pelos profissionais que exercem funções em SU.Metodologia: Estudo qualitativo, de natureza exploratória e descritiva, apresentando como população alvo todos os enfermeiros que exerciam funções no serviço de urgência há mais de dois anos e que não pertencessem a outros serviços e/ou que por rotatividade fossem deslocados para o mesmo. O método de colheita de dados foi realizado através da análise documental das notas de enfermagem, através da técnica de análise de conteúdo de Bardin, definindo à priori os utentes em que iriam incidir a análise dos registos, aplicado com a triangulação dos resultados obtidos pela aplicação de um Questionário Sociodemográfico e Guião de Entrevista Semiestruturada. Resultados: Foram analisados 53 registos de enfermagem, respeitantes a 17 utentes que acorreram ao SU durante o período de um mês e 18 enfermeiros que aceitaram participar no estudo. Os resultados obtidos através da triangulação dos dados permitiram 40cuidados paliativos, vol. 4, nº 1 - julho 2017identificar as intervenções/ações paliativas realizadas pelos enfermeiros, aos utentes com doença crónica, incurável e progressiva.Conclusões: Identificou-se que o controlo sintomático respeitante à dor, medidas de conforto e a menção de apoio à família são referidas pelos enfermeiros, embora que em termos de registos esta última não se verifique.
Introduction: Given the complexity of people’s health / illness situations, the increase in population longevity and the consequent increase in incurable, progressive and advan-ced diseases, the reality of the Emergency Room (ER) is presented to us with an increase in patients with chronic, incurable and progressive disease. The emergency service is in-trinsically linked to critical situations advocated by curative attitudes, we must dedicate equally to the valuation of the need to provide care of a non-exclusively curative nature thus emerge the question that gave the starting point for the realization of this Research - What palliative interventions are performed by nurses in an ER?Objective: To identify the palliative interventions carried out by professionals working in ER.Methodology: qualitative study, exploratory and descriptive in nature, presenting as a target population all the nurses who worked in the emergency departmentFor more than two years and that they did not belong to other services and / or that by rotation they were displaced for the same. The data collection method was performed through the documentary analysis of the nursing notes, using the Bardin content analy-sis technique, defining a priori the users that would focus the analysis of the records, applied with the triangulation of the results obtained by the application Of a Sociode-mographic Questionnaire and a Semistructured Interview Guide.Results: A total of 53 nursing records were analyzed, related to 17 users who came to the ER During the period of one month and 18 nurses who agreed to participate in the study. The results obtained through the triangulation of the data allowed to identify the palliative interventions / actions performed by the nurses, the users with chronic, incura-ble and progressive disease.Conclusions: It was identified that the symptom control regarding pain, comfort measu-res and mention of support to the family are mentioned by the nurses, although in terms of records the latter is not verified.
