O sistema comportamental de exploração é complementar ao sistema de exploração (Jongenelen, 2004). Entender a organização mental face à exploração nos adultos torna-se particularmente importante no sentido de contribuir para a influência da vinculação durante esta fase desenvolvimental. Neste estudo pretendeu-se através da AAI examinar de que forma a história de exploração se encontra organizada num grupo clínico com perturbação do comportamento alimentar constituído por 21 mulheres, classificadas anteriormente (Dias, 2007) de acordo com um padrão de vinculação seguro, preocupado e desligado. A análise dos dados foi realizada com base num procedimento de análise de conteúdo de natureza semi-indutiva. Os principais resultados foram indicativos de diferenças na organização mental de exploração neste grupo clínico, sendo que as participantes classificadas com um padrão de vinculação seguro, revelaram-se mais seguras a explorar, percecionando um maior número de episódios de comportamento de exploração e promoção dos mesmos por parte das figuras parentais. Em relação às participantes classificadas como preocupadas, evidenciaram uma perspetiva mais negativa perante comportamentos de exploração, indicando um número elevado de experiências de exploração negativas em família, e ainda, pais como condicionantes negativos da exploração do meio. Por sua vez, as participantes classificadas desligadas foram as que indicaram menor número de comportamentos de exploração, desvalorizando os comportamentos
The behavioral system of exploration is complementary to the attachment system (Jongenelen, 2004). Understanding the mental organization beyond exploration behavior in adults becomes particularly important for knowing the influence of attachment during this developmental stage. In this study, we use the AAI to examine how the history of exploration is organized in a clinical group with eating disorders - 21 women, classified previously (Dias, 2007) according to different attachment pattern: secure, worried and disconnected. Data analysis was carried out using a procedure of content analysis of semi-inductive nature. The main results were indicative of differences in brain organization operating in this clinical group. Participants classified as having a secure attachment pattern proved to be safer to operate, describing a greater number of episodes of exploratory behavior and episodes in which parental figures promote exploratory behavior. Regarding the participants classified as preoccupied, they showed a more negative perspective towards exploratory behaviors, indicating a high number of negative experiences exploration promotion by the family, and parents were described as negative factors for exploration behavior. In turn, participants were classified with an disconnected attachment pattern indicated fewer exploratory behaviors, devaluing this type of behavior.
