In 2018, according to Eurostat, Portugal and Spain stated that a greater part of people in cultural and creative employment had a tertiary level of educational attainment, and the percentage of people who were self-employed in the field of culture was more than double the average reported for the entire of the economy. Successful managers of creative organizations must master managements skills. Although transfer of academic skills from the classroom to the workplace is a complex phenomenon, internships are perceived as one of the best ways to learn the reality of work. This paper analysis and explores university student internship programs, in Spain and Portugal, as the potential of enhancing student employability.
