Este relatório surge no decurso do 11º Curso do Mestrado de Especialização em Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica no âmbito da Unidade Curricular Estágio Final e Relatório, do Instituto de Ciências da Saúde da Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Porto. O estágio compreendeu três contextos de prática de cuidados: Serviço de Neonatologia, Serviço de Urgência e Cuidados de Saúde Primários. O objetivo deste documento é apresentar todo o meu percurso de formação, demonstrando as competências desenvolvidas ao longo do estágio realizado. Os diferentes contextos de prestação de cuidados de enfermagem tiveram como finalidade desenvolver competências de Enfermeiro Especialista em Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica atendendo aos quatro domínios da atuação do enfermeiro: Prestação de Cuidados, Gestão de Cuidados, Formação e Investigação. Os objetivos que tracei, as atividades que desenvolvi e a reflexão crítica sobre todas as atividades foram de encontro ao desenvolvimento dessas competências, sempre focados na assistência ao recém-nascido, à criança, ao jovem e família. O método utilizado para a elaboração deste relatório foi o expositivo e reflexivo, fundamentado por pesquisa bibliográfica. O caminho percorrido permitiu-me a aquisição de competências para prestar cuidados especializados. Em todos os contextos aprofundei saberes em áreas como a parentalidade, parceria de cuidados, vinculação, relação mãe-filho, amamentação e controlo da dor. Posso afirmar que a base teórica necessária a uma prática de Enfermagem Especializada, credível e visível, constituiu o principal contributo. A riqueza das experiências e vivências proporcionadas ao longo deste estágio, levaram a um procura constante e desafiante de novos conhecimentos e atitudes, que contribuíram a uma prática de Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica de excelência.
This report arises in the sphere of the 11th Course of the Master’s Degree of Nursing in Infantile and Pediatric Health, within the scope of the Curricular Unit Final Internship and Report from the Institute of Health Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University - Oporto. The internship comprised three contexts of care practice: Neonatal Service, Urgency Service and Primary Health Care. The purpose of this document is to present all my training course, demonstrating the competencies developed throughout the internship. The different contexts of nursing care were aimed at developing the skills of Specialization in Infantile and Pediatric Health Nursing, taking care of the four domains of the nurse’s work: Care Delivery, Care Management, Training and Research. The goals I set out, the activities I developed and the critical reflection on all the activities were in line with the development of these competencies, always focused on the care of the newborn, the child, the youth and the family. The method used for the elaboration of this report was the expositive and reflective one, based on bibliographical research. The path taken has allowed me to acquire skills to provide specialized care. In all contexts I deepened knowledge in areas such as parenthood, care partnership, attachment, mother-child relationship, breastfeeding and pain control. I can affirm that the theoretical basis necessary for a specialized, credible and visible Nursing practice was the main contribution. The richness of the experiences and experiences provided throughout this stage led to a constant and challenging search for new knowledge and attitudes that contributed to excel in the practice of Nursing in Infantile and Pedriatric Health.
