O presente relatório descreve as tarefas e funções desenvolvidas ao longo do estágio curricular no Teatro Municipal do Porto. Durante seis meses foram aplicados conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo da formação obtida na licenciatura e no Mestrado em Som e Imagem, especialização em Design de Som. A dissertação contempla uma revisão da literatura sobre o som ao vivo especializado em teatro. São também analisados progressos tecnológicos, desde amplificação sonora até à presença de automação e microfonia utilizada nas artes performativas.
This report outlines the tasks and responsibilities undertaken during the curricular internship at Teatro Municipal do Porto. Over a period of six months, knowledge acquired throughout the undergraduate and master's studies in Sound and Image, with a specialization in Sound Design, was put into practice. The dissertation also includes a literature review focused on live sound in theatrical settings, covering both historical perspectives and recent technological developments. Topics such as sound amplification, specialized microphone use, and the growing presence of automation systems in theatre sound design are examined.
