| dc.description.abstract | Esta dissertação é um exercício exploratório da reflexão eclesiológica de Ioannis D. Zizioulas. Partindo das noções-chave de Pessoa e de comunhão, centrais na obra do nosso Autor, procuramos mostrar de que forma Zizioulas concebe a Igreja enquanto modo de existência, instituída por Cristo e constituída pelo Espírito. O propósito da presente tese de Mestrado passa por salientar que, de acordo com Zizioulas, a Igreja é essencialmente “uma” e “muitas”, e viver a koinonia na Igreja consiste, sobretudo no Batismo e na Eucaristia, em participar no substrato mais veraz da realidade, onde a alteridade e a comunhão permitem um espaço de liberdade no qual a pessoa humana se realiza numa existência hierárquica que não é opressão, mas adequação, e onde unidade é coetânea da pluralidade. Procurámos mostrar, ao longo deste trabalho, como o ser humano é-o apenas na medida em que está a ser incorporado na hipóstase eclesial e, assim, por meio da koinonia eclesial (comunidade e participação) participa no eterno Ser de Deus (ou seja, no Amor). Nascer do “alto”, em koinonia eclesial, confere à hipóstase de cada batizado a possibilidade de ser de acordo com o modo de ser de Deus, algo que outorga pneumatologicamente à Igreja a capacidade de ser à imagem e semelhança da Trindade. Em suma, a eclesiologia de Zizioulas pressupõe uma ontologia de comunhão cujo horizonte salvífico, de que a Igreja é sinal prolético e sacramento, é o da recapitulação de toda a realidade pelo Filho, na comunhão do Espírito, para a glória de Deus-Pai, tal como pregustamos na Eucaristia. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation is a probing endeavor about Ioannis D. Zizioulas’ ecclesiological thinking. Building on the key notions of Person and communion, central in the works of our Author, we hope to show how Zizioulas conceives the Church as a mode of existence, instituted by Christ and constituted by the Spirit. The aim of this thesis is to underline that the Church, according to Zizioulas, is essentially “one” and “many” at the same time. Living in koinonia in the Church means, especially in Baptism and in the Eucharist, to participate in reality’s utmost truthfulness, where otherness and communion grant the human being freedom. In a relational and communal view, hierarchy doesn’t convey oppression but order. Also, in this sense, unity and plurality exist simultaneously. We try to demonstrate, along these lines, how the human being only truly is in as much as he or she is incorporated in the ecclesial hypostasis. By the means of the ecclesial koinonia (community and participation) the human person may participate in the eternal being of God (i.e., in the divine Love or communion). To be “born again”, through Baptism, in the ecclesial communion, does gives to each baptized the possibility of being accordingly with the Trinitarian way of God. This allows the Church, through the work of the Holy Spirit, to have the capacity of being in the image and resemblance of the Trinity. In conclusion, Zizioulas’ ecclesiology presupposes an ontology of communion, one with a saving final horizon, of which the Church is proleptic sign and sacrament. This saving horizon is none than the final recapitulation of all the Creation by the Son, in the love of the Spirit, for the glory of God the Father, as we foretaste in the Eucharist. | pt_PT |
