David Humeās epistemological standpoint on the nature of human understanding upholds the thesis that all knowledge derives from sensorial intuition and experience. Thus, there can be no sensorial intuition of anything as the object Ā«GodĀ» as it is understood as something metaphysical. Therefore, there can be no religion, except for social and historical-like manifestations, that have no real religious objective meaning.
