O presente relatório remete o trabalho realizado no decorrer dos três módulos de estágio inseridos no plano curricular do Curso de Pós Licenciatura de Especialização em Enfermagem com Especialização em Médico Cirúrgica da Universidade Católica Portuguesa. O estagio foi desenrolado nos contextos de Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos, Urgência e Assistência Pré Hospitalar por se tratarem de fontes privilegiadas de observação e de aprendizagem relativas ao desenvolvimento de competências na prestação de Cuidados Especializados em Enfermagem em Pessoa em Situação Critica. Com recurso a metodologia descritiva/reflexiva, este relatório tem como objetivos demonstrar as capacidades critico-reflexivas adquiridas no desempenho da prática profissional, descrever as atividades desenvolvidas durante os diferentes estágios, documentar a aprendizagem adquirida e servir como instrumento de avaliação A estrutura do relatório teve em atenção os domínios de competências comuns do Enfermeiro Especialista, onde foram traçados objetivos específicos e consideradas atividades para a sua concretização. As atividades desenvolvidas em estágio foram de encontro com as oportunidades encontradas e consideradas como pertinentes, possibilitando o desenvolvimento individual e o contributo para o desenvolvimento da enfermagem enquanto profissão autónoma alicerçada sobre a prática baseada no conhecimento científico. O balanço do estágio é extremamente positivo rumo à conquista de novos saberes, do aperfeiçoamento das competências individuais e do aumento da segurança e da eficácia da tomada de decisão nos cuidados prestados. Considerou-se a pertinência de realização de trabalhos individualizados sobre os temas Controlo e Prevenção da Dor, Sindrome de Burnout nos Profissionais do Serviço de Urgência, Delirium nas Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos, Prevenção e Controlo de Infeção, Acolhimento à família do Doente Internado e um Estudo de Caso para enriquecimento deste relatório.
The present document translates the work developed throughout the three placement modules in the Post Graduation Speaciality in Medial Surgical Nursing at Institute of Health Sciences - Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto. The internship took place in the context of Intensive Care Unit, Accident and Emergency department and Pre – Hospital care for being priveliged settings for observation and learning opportunities to acquire competencies in the cares of Nursing of the critical adult. The reflexive and descriptive methdology was utilised with the aim of developing the professional practice, describe the differente activities in the different placements, document the learning acquired and serve as an evaluation tool. The structure of this document had in attention the domains of common competencies of the Specialist Nurse by “Ordem dos Enfermeiros”, where the specific aims were acknowledged and the activities for their achievement. The developed activities made it possible for the individual development and contribute to the development of nursing as autonomous profession based on evidence based practice. The outcomes obtained in the internship were positive, leading to the acquirment of knowledge, de improvement of the individual competencies and the increase of the safety and efficiency of the clinical decision in the undertaken cares. The following themes were considered relevant for individual reflection: “Pain management and control”, “Burnout syndrome on the Accident and Emergency professionals”, “Delirium in the Intensive Care Unit” for the enhancmenet of this document.
