Abstract(s)
Este trabalho incide no panorama citadino com o intuito de compreender em que
contexto as acessibilidades se inserem, tendo por base uma população envelhecida.
Interessa perceber as limitações que a cidade apresenta a quem dela quer tirar partido. De
que forma o espaço físico (público e privado) condiciona a plena mobilidade dos
indivíduos.
Nas acessibilidades um dos aspectos a ter em conta é a orientação que o indivíduo
deve ter no espaço público. Através dos pontos marcantes o indivíduo consegue perceber e
construir uma imagem de cidade, baseada em pontos de referências e elementos destacados
na malha citadina. Os landmarks!servindo como pontos orientadores do espaço público, e
funcionam como marcos referenciadores na estrutura urbana. No caso de estudo, a imagem
material de Viseu é dominado pelo centro histórico com especial enfoque para Sé Catedral.
Pretende-se então, vincar e acentuar a relação visual que o centro histórico tem para a
cidade.
Assim, a arquitectura como elemento modelador do espaço, é um meio para suprir
as necessidades do ser humano, funcionando como elemento de coesão para o bom
funcionamento da cidade.
This work focuses on the city panorama in order to understand the context of the notion of accessibility, based on the main problem of aging. It is important to realize the limitations that the city presents to anyone who wants to take advantage of it. The main question is how does the physical space (public and private) determines the full mobility of individuals. In accessibility one of the aspects to consider is the way, the orientation that the individual should have in the public space. Through the points of reference, the individual can perceive and construct an image of the city, based on guidelines, points and the elements highlighted in the city fabric. This means that the landmark serves as guiding point of public space, and act as referrers landmarks in the urban structure. In the case study, the historic centre dominates the physical image of Viseu, with a special focus to the Cathedral. In this case, is then to crease and accentuate the visual relationship that has historical centre of the city. In this case, the architecture is the shaper of space, intends to the needs of the human being, functioning as cohesive element for the proper functioning of the city.
