Abstract(s)
Esta investigação tem por base a perspetiva relacional simbólica que tem em conta a
componente relacional e simbólica da família. O objeto deste trabalho é conhecer a relação, as dinâmicas
de casal na presença de doença crónica e a dinâmica relacional com os netos. Trata-se de um estudo de caso
em que o instrumento utilizado é a entrevista clínica generacional, que se foca nos intercâmbios
generacionais em diversas situações de vida do casal. Este estudo foi realizado com um casal de avós
casados há 31 anos e ambos com 54 anos de idade, em que o elemento do sexo masculino é portador de
Insuficiência Renal Crónica. Conclui-se que a doença é um aspeto central na vida do casal influenciando
assim a sua dinâmica. Relativamente à relação avós-netos, esta encontra-se mascarada pelo impacto que a
doença tem na vida familiar deste casal. A grã-parentalidade é abordada pelo casal, ainda que de forma
superficial, não conseguindo assim explorar a relação avós-netos, apesar disso os netos têm um papel
importante na vida do casal. Este é um estudo piloto, através do qual não foi possível aceder à relação
intergeneracional avós-netos com a profundidade desejada, no entanto acreditamos que utilizando este
mesmo instrumento em estudos futuros será possível ter acesso a essa informação.
This research is based on the symbolic relational perspective that takes into account the relational and symbolic component of the family. The purpose of this work is to know the relation and the dynamics of couple present on chronic sickness and the relational dynamics with the grandchildren. It is a case study in which the instrument used is the generational clinical interview, focus on the generational exchanges in several situations of life of the couple. This study was performed with a couple of grandparents with 31 years of marriage and both with 54 years of age, in which, the male element have a Chronic Renal Insufficiency. It is concluded that the disease is a central aspect in the life of the couple thus influencing its dynamics. With regard relationship between grandparent and grandchild, it is masked by the impact that the disease has on the family life of this couple. Great parenting is approached by the couple, albeit superficially, thus failing to explore the grandparent-grandchild relationship, though grandchildren have an important role in the couple's life. This is a pilot study, through which it was not possible to access the intergenerational grandparent relationship with the desired depth, however we believe that using this same instrument in future studies will be possible to have access to this information.
