As audiências dos canais generalistas em Portugal têm vindo a sofrer alterações nos últimos
anos e as telenovelas, que são o produto televisivo que mais contribui para as audiências,
tem vindo a acompanhar esta mudança. A internet apresenta uma evolução desde o início da
sua criação, e, nos últimos anos, o Facebook é a rede social que conta com um número mais
elevado de utilizadores em Portugal. Deste modo, torna-se pertinente perceber se existe
alguma influência por parte do Facebook que possa vir a alterar as audiências da telenovela
“A Teia” da TVI. Com o objetivo de perceber se o facto de mais pessoas gostarem da página
do Facebook da telenovela, interagirem e serem alvo de partilhas da mesma, influencia
positiva ou negativamente as audiências da telenovela acima referida. O objetivo deste
trabalho é, então, perceber se existe uma correlação dos dados recolhidos de audiência com
os dados recolhidos da página do Facebook da novela “A Teia”
The audiences of generalist channels in Portugal have been changing in recent years and telenovelas, which are the television product that most contributes to audiences, have been following this change. The internet has evolved since the beginning of its creation, and, in recent years, Facebook is the social network with the highest number of users in Portugal. Thus, it becomes pertinent to understand if Facebook has any influence that may change the audiences of the telenovela “A Teia” on TVI. In order to understand if people liking the telenovela’s Facebook page, establish interactions and be part of the audience of the shares on that same page, influences these people positively or negatively de audience’s results of this telenovela. The aim of this work is, then, perceive if there is a correlation of the data of audience collection with the data collected from the Facebook page of telenovel “A Teia”.
