Vivemos numa sociedade assombrada pela ameaça que o terrorismo representa, incluindo os grandes representantes no seu combate. Tanto os Estados isoladamente, como a própria União Europeia, têm demonstrado fragilidades em combater o terrorismo islâmico, cada vez mais presente na Europa. A situação de risco iminente provoca um sentimento de insegurança na população europeia, essencialmente, pela incapacidade das entidades responsáveis em garantir a segurança dos seus cidadãos.
O fenómeno da globalização, em muito, tem caracterizado a nova forma de atuar dos grupos terroristas, insurgentes do nosso quotidiano. Nos dias de hoje, parece fácil atuar em nome da criminalidade e causar a instabilidade social. A presente investigação pretende assim definir linhas de ação estratégicas, eficientes, neste combate que persiste em solo europeu.
Deste modo, primeiramente, será apresentada e caracterizada a ameaça, desde os seus primórdios para própria instauração. Após uma conceptualização do desenvolvimento do terrorismo islâmico e do seu modo de atuar, serão analisadas as medidas de combate apresentadas pela União Europeia. Por último, depois de reunir uma análise pormenorizada, terminaremos com a contribuição de linhas estratégicas de possível implementação, de forma a colaborar na luta contra terrorismo.
We are living in a society haunted by the threat of terrorism, including the most important entities in this fight. The States itself, as well as, the European Union had shown weaknesses against this Islamic terrorism, being more present in Europe. The imminent risk situation causes an insecurity feeling in the European population, especially, due the responsible entities not being able to ensure the citizens security. The globalization, mainly, has provided a new way of acting by terrorist groups, rising in our daily routines. Nowadays seems easier to act criminally and cause social instability. The following research paper aims to define strategic lines of action, effective in this fight, which persist in European soil. Thus, the threat will be presented and characterized in first place, from its beginnings to its own establishment. After a conceptualization of the development of Islamic terrorism and its way of acting, the combat measures presented by the European Union will be analysed. Finally, after a detailed analysis, we will end up with some framing strategic lines of possible implementation.
