Envolvimento do pai após o divórcio e narrativas de vida

| dc.description.abstract | O presente estudo teve como principais objetivos compreender quais são os fatores significativos das narrativas de vida que podem contribuir para a vivência de novos papéis, como a parentalidade; que experiências significativas no papel de filho podem influenciar a forma como é vivida a paternidade e qual o papel de acontecimentos de vida significativos, em particular do divórcio, na qualidade do envolvimento parental. Optamos por uma abordagem narrativa, e tentamos conhecer a experiência paterna na relação com os filhos após a separação conjugal, associada a uma lógica temporal, desde a família de origem, passando pelo processo de divórcio, até às projeções que os pais realizam em relação ao futuro com a aplicação de uma entrevista narrativa. Entrevistamos quatro pais divorciados há mais de 2 anos, onde apenas P2 tem a guarda partilhada, sendo que nos restantes participantes a guarda está atribuída à mãe. Verificamos que P1 e P2 apresentam uma narrativa de vida mais coerente, pela multiplicidade na integração das várias influências da família de origem e das suas experiências enquanto filhos, pela clareza do seu papel de pai e pala capacidade de se projetarem no futuro neste mesmo papel. Por sua vez, P3 e P4 apresentam uma narrativa menos integrada e voltada para a relatividade dos eventos. P4 não consegue definir enquanto e pai e verifica-se um menor envolvimento perante o seu papel. Concluímos ainda que para todos os participantes o divórcio foi suficiente significativo para alterar a qualidade do envolvimento parental, mas que esse impacto varia, sendo menor em P2 e maior em P4. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The main objective of the present study was to understand which are the significative factors of life narratives that can contribute to the living of new roles, like parenthood; which significative experiences in the son role can influence the way parenthood is lived and what is the role of significative life events, in particular the divorce, in the quality of the parental engagement. It was chosen a narrative approach, where it was tried to understand the father experience in terms of the relationship with the sons and daughters after the divorce, associated with a timeline logic, from the family of origin, passing throw the divorce and until the projections that fathers do about the future, by the application of a narrative interview. It were interviewed four divorced fathers that were divorced longer than 2 years, where P2 has shared custody and the others the children custody was given to the mother. We verified that P1 and P2 have a more coherent narrative of life, by the integrations the multiples influences from the family of origin and by their experiences as sons, by the clear view of their role as fathers and by the capacity to project themselves in the future in this same role. On the other hand, P3 and P4 have a less integrated narrative of life and are turned into the relativity of their events. P4 can’t define himself as father and it is noticed a lower involvement in his role. It is also concluded that for all participants the divorce was significant enough to change the quality of their parenthood involvement, but this impact varies, being lower in P2 and higher in P4. | pt_PT |
