Abstract(s)
The paper proposes to think about some philosophical and epistemological presuppositions of the various theological methods, in a critical discussion of certain habitual configurations. The discussion of certain traditional concepts, based on a circular relationship between Theology and Anthropology, leads firstly to a broader understanding of the “believing” dynamics which cannot be reduced to the theological field. Starting from this assumption, we enter into a discussion about the possible anthropocentrism of traditional theological methods, in parallel with those of Human Sciences (Humanities). It is from this critique that other epistemological horizons emerge, within current scientific work, which includes theology. The discussion leads to challenges for a plural epistemology and methodology, not only in the field of everyday human life, but also in the increasingly complex relationship between the human and the non-human.
