O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar as perceções dos jovens sobre os contributos da intervenção realizada pela Associação Bagos d’Ouro (ABO). Pretendeu-se averiguar as perceções dos jovens acerca das atividades da ABO, o apoio da ABO no envolvimento escolar, resultados escolares e aspirações educacionais destes jovens e, por fim, as perceções que têm sobre a ABO em geral. Neste estudo participaram 19 jovens (dos 13 aos 19 anos) do sexo feminino e masculino. Os participantes frequentavam o 3º ciclo e ensino secundário e residiam nos concelhos de São João da Pesqueira, Tabuaço, Alijó e Sabrosa. Foi construído um questionário on-line disponibilizado no Google Forms de forma a que abrangesse todas estas dimensões relevantes para o estudo por forma a facilitar a recolha aos gestores de concelho. Em síntese, os resultados destacam que a ação da ABO, na perspetiva dos jovens apoiados, teve um impacto muito positivo nas suas vidas pelo que detêm uma perspetiva geral bastante positiva sobre a ABO. No âmbito académico, destacam-se os indicadores positivos de envolvimento escolar e aspirações educacionais, e a melhoria dos resultados escolares dos jovens apoiados pela ABO.
The present study aimed to analyze the perceptions of young people about the contributions of the intervention carried out by the Bagos d’Ouro Association (ABO). It was intended to investigate the perceptions of young people about the activities dynamized by ABO, the contributions of the ABO to the school involvement, to the school results and the educational aspirations of these young people and, finally, the general perceptions that they have about the ABO. In this study participated 19 young people (from 13 to 19 years old) from the female and male sex. The participants attended the 3rd cycle and secondary education and lived in the counties of São João da Pesqueira, Tabuaço, Alijó e Sabrosa. An on-line questionnaire was made available on Google Forms to cover all of these dimensions relevant to the study in order to make easy the collection to county managers. In summary, the results stand out that the ABO’s action, from the perspective of the supported young people had a very positive impact on their lives, so they have a very positive overall perspective about the Association. In the academic field we highlight the positive indicators of school involvement and educational aspirations, and the improvement of the school results of young people supported by the ABO.
