This report, carried out as part of the Professional Practice I and II and Pedagogical Intervention Project (PIP) curricular units, is part of the Master's Degree in Music Teaching at the School of Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University in Porto, and was developed at the host organisation, the Artistic School of Music of the National Conservatory (EAMCN), during the 2022/2023 academic year. This work aims to demonstrate all the activities developed in the supervised teaching practice, in the specialisation area of teaching Instrument (Violeta) and Ensemble Classes (Orchestra), as well as the implementation and evaluation of the PIP entitled "The relevance of learning styles in teaching Violeta". The PIP is a qualitative investigation, using qualitative instruments to collect data, and aims to make a contribution to the field of specialised artistic music teaching, particularly in viola. The aims of this study are to ascertain the extent to which identifying each student's preferred learning style contributes to a more effective and motivating violet learning process, and how learning styles can be approached in violet teaching. The participants in this project are three viola students from the Specialised Music Teaching of the Artistic School of Music of the National Conservatoire. The results obtained in this study are positive and show that pedagogical strategies are being reinforced in Violeta's specialised teaching, as well as proving to be an instrument that facilitates learning and stimulates metacognition.
