Abstract(s)
O presente relatório, inserido no plano de estudos do Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem na área de Especialização de Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, pela Universidade Católica Portuguesa, pretende explanar todo o processo de aprendizagem e desenvolvimento de competências especializadas no âmbito científico em estudo. Este intenta apresentar a descrição e análise reflexiva do percurso académico concretizado. Este percurso formativo contempla a elaboração de um trabalho de investigação, foco deste relatório que concorreram para as competências de mestre, intitulado “Strategies to relieve thirst on the perioperative patient”. No âmbito dos estágios, realizados em contexto de bloco operatório e urgência, desenvolveram-se competências através da prestação de cuidados de enfermagem especializados à pessoa em situação crítica e sua família; da promoção da qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem; e da promoção das boas práticas de prevenção e controlo de infeção. Como estratégia de fundamentação da prática baseada na evidência, participou-se no Curso de Suporte Avançado de Vida e nas XI Jornadas Nacionais e IX Jornadas Internacionais de Enfermagem intituladas “Uma Enfermagem a Criar Futuro no Presente” nas quais foi submetido a apreciação o póster intitulado “Strategies to relive thirst on the perioperative patient: a scoping review” (apêndice III). O percurso académico experienciado permitiu a consolidação de conhecimentos e o desenvolvimento de competências que, contribuíram para uma prestação de cuidados de enfermagem especializados, através de um olhar crítico, fundamentado em evidência científica.
This report, included in the study plan of the Master's Course in Nursing in the area of Specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing, by the Portuguese Catholic University, aims to explain the entire process of learning and developing specialized skills in the scientific field under study. It intends to present the description and reflective analysis of the academic path accomplished. This training course includes the elaboration of a research work, the focus of this report that competed for the master’s skills, entitled “Strategies to relieve thirst on the perioperative patient”. Within the scope of the internships, carried out in the context of an operating room and emergency room, skills were developed through the provision of specialized nursing care to the person in critical situation and their family; promoting the quality of nursing care; and the promotion of good practices for infection prevention and control. As a strategy to support evidence-based practice, we participated in the Advanced Life Support Course and in the XI National Days and IX International Days of Nursing entitled "A Nursing to Create a Future in the Present" in which the poster entitled “Strategies to relive thirst on the perioperative patient: a scoping review” (appendix III). The academic path experienced allowed the consolidation of knowledge and the development of skills that contributed to the provision of specialized nursing care, through a critical look, based on scientific evidence.
