| dc.description.abstract | A presente investigação enquadra-se na análise das motivações subjacentes ao empreendedorismo na Região Autónoma dos Açores e à satisfação geral com a vida destes empreendedores. Assim, os principais objetivos passam pela identificação das principais motivações dos indivíduos para o empreendedorismo, sendo que para tal foi utilizada a Teoria da Autodeterminação (TAD), pela identificação dos principais desafios com que os indivíduos se depararam na criação do seu negócio/startup e pela análise da perceção que estes indivíduos fazem da sua satisfação geral com a vida. O presente estudo contou com a participação de sete empreendedores, que criaram uma startup nos Açores, nomeadamente, na ilha Terceira, São Jorge e São Miguel. A investigação segue uma metodologia qualitativa, uma vez que pretende caraterizar a experiência dos empreendedores. Para tal, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas e procedeu-se a uma análise semi-indutiva e temática dos dados obtidos, através do programa N-Vivo 11. Com os resultados recolhidos, verificamos que a maioria dos participantes desta investigação estão satisfeitos com as suas vidas, sendo que os julgamentos feitos relativamente à satisfação com a vida, advêm da satisfação com o trabalho e parece ter igualmente alguma relação com as motivações intrínsecas e extrínsecas para criar o negócio. | dc.description.abstract | The present research fits the analysis of the motivations underlying entrepreneurship in the Autonomous Region of the Azores and the general satisfaction with the lives of these entrepreneurs. Thus, the main objectives are to identify the main motivations of individuals for entrepreneurship in wich the Self-Determination Theory (TAD) was used, the identification of the main challenges faced by individuals in the creation of their startup business and the analysis of the perception that these individuals make of their general satisfaction with life. The present study was attended by seven entrepreneurs, who created a startup in the Azores, namely on the island of Terceira, São Jorge and São Miguel. The research follows a qualitative methodology, since it intends to characterize the experience of the entrepreneurs. For this, semi-structured interviews were carried out and a semi-inductive and thematic analysis of the data obtained through the N-Vivo 11 program was performed. With the results collected, we found that most of the participants in this research are satisfied with their lives, and the judgments made regarding life satisfaction come from job satisfaction and also seem to have some relation with the intrinsic and extrinsic motivations to create the business. Namely because the reasons for creating the startups relate to the satisfaction that this realization makes them feel. | pt_PT |
