O processo da digitalização na sociedade contemporânea, especialmente no setor da saúde, tem ganho cada vez mais importância, dado que as soluções digitais provenientes influenciam a prestação e qualidade dos cuidados prestados. Com a integração crescente de tecnologias digitais na saúde, surgem oportunidades e desafios que redefinem a administração e perceção dos cuidados de saúde. A transformação digital introduz novas formas de interação entre prestadores e utilizadores, mas a literatura existente, sobre a perceção dos pacientes neste tópico, é escassa (Iyanna et al., 2022). Considerando as mudanças demográficas em Portugal, como o envelhecimento da população e, consequentemente, o aumento de doenças crónicas, a telemonitorização surge como uma resposta inovadora para oferecer cuidados à distância. No entanto, a partilha de dados pessoais e de saúde levanta preocupações sobre privacidade e segurança dos mesmos. Desta forma, este estudo pretende compreender a perspetiva dos utentes sobre o uso de tecnologias digitais na saúde, avaliar a perspetiva dos utilizadores sobre a partilha de dados e estudar a aceitação dos pacientes em relação à telemonitorização, considerando implicações éticas e de segurança. Assim, este estudo incidirá sobre a perceção dos utentes sobre a transformação digital na prestação de serviços de saúde. Iniciaremos o mesmo, começando com a secção da introdução, onde se encontrará o enquadramento e contextualização do estudo. A revisão de literatura também é uma secção importante, onde desenvolveremos diferentes perspetivas de autores sobre este tema, culminando na conclusão e limitações do estudo, cruciais como base para futuras pesquisas.
The process of digitization in contemporary society, especially in the healthcare sector, has been gaining increasing importance, given that digital solutions influence the provision and quality of care provided. With the growing integration of digital technologies in healthcare, opportunities and challenges arise that redefine the administration and perception of healthcare. Digital transformation introduces new forms of interaction between providers and users, although existing literature on patient perception on this topic is scarce (Iyanna et al., 2022). Considering demographic changes in Portugal, such as population aging and consequently the increase in chronic diseases, telemonitoring emerges as an innovative response to offer remote care. However, the sharing of personal and health data raises concerns about their privacy and security. Thus, this study aims to understand users' perspectives on the use of digital technologies in healthcare, evaluate users' perspectives on data sharing, and study patients' acceptance of telemonitoring, considering ethical and security implications. Therefore, this study will focus on users' perceptions of digital transformation in healthcare provision. We will commence with the introduction section, which provides the study's framework and context. The literature review is also an important section, where we will develop various authors' perspectives on this topic, culminating in the study's conclusion and limitations, crucial as a basis for future research.
