Resumo(s)
The main objective of this study, carried out within the Master of Science in
Education of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, was to characterize the self
assessment practices of the X school, analysing the efficacy perceived by different
actors of the educational community in terms of organizational development and
improvement of learning. It was also intended to verify the organizational
conditions and knowledge needed to implement more consistent self-evaluation
practices and promote more development.
It was possible to verify that teachers, students and border of directors have a
positive view of the school and its functioning. Nonetheless, the data point out that
the ongoing self-assessment processes are not finalized and their results propose
changes that effectively become a reality in school organization. Not all the
educational actors involved in this study feel involved in self-assessment processes,
although there is a strong desire for this to happen. Finally, we conclude that there
are margins of improvement that lead to concrete action plans, drawing a future
focused on continuous learning.
