Abstract(s)
O presente relatório insere-se no âmbito do Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem na
área de Especialização em Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica da Universidade
Católica Portuguesa e tem como principal objetivo a análise crítica e reflexiva do percurso
para o desenvolvimento e aquisição de competências respetivas ao título de Enfermeiro
Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica.
A temática desenvolvida – Promoção do Conforto na Saúde da criança e jovem –
surgiu com fundamento na intervenção de enfermagem especializada à criança/jovem e
família que tem como principal objetivo a promoção da saúde, o bem-estar, a prevenção de
complicações e o autocuidado, em qualquer situação de cuidados de Enfermagem.
O Conforto é um conceito multidimensional, indispensável para a manutenção e
promoção do bem-estar revelando uma componente intrínseca aos cuidados de enfermagem.
Desta forma, os enfermeiros devem identificar as necessidades de conforto das
crianças/jovens que ainda não tenham sido satisfeitas e planear intervenções adequadas para
as satisfazerem da melhor forma, assegurando uma prestação de cuidados integra.
Com o objetivo de suportar a temática transversal ao ensino clínico foi utilizada a
Teoria do Conforto de Kolcaba de forma a fundamentar as atividades desenvolvidas e
realizada uma revisão scoping sobre as Intervenções Não Farmacológicas para o Alívio da
Dor na Criança de forma a considerar aplicabilidade desta Teoria e a evidência científica
recente.
No decorrer do estágio, tendo em conta o objetivo geral definido e por forma a
desenvolver as competências como EEESIP, em cada contexto, foi realizada uma análise do
diagnóstico de situação e traçados objetivos específicos bem como atividades a desenvolver
para o seu cumprimento.
Na Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatais foi realizada uma reflexão que
originou a publicação de um Poster científico submetido no III Seminário do Mestrado Em
Enfermagem: Enfermagem Especializada: Protagonista no Presente Inovadora no Futuro,
sobre a “A Situação Pandémica COVID-19 Vivida na UCIN - Ameaças ao Conforto
Neonatal e Implicações Éticas”, além da prestação de cuidados ao recém-nascido e família.
No Internamento de Pediatria, além da prestação de cuidados de enfermagem
especializados à criança/jovem e família em situação de doença complexa, objetivou-se o
desenvolvimento de competências como EEESIP no cuidar da criança/jovem e família no
contexto de internamento de oncologia pediátrica através da sensibilização da equipa de
enfermagem para as estratégias de comunicação e uma proposta ao serviço de restruturação
de um espaço físico destinado a estes momentos.
No contexto de Cuidados de Caúde Primários estipularam-se objetivos inerentes à
promoção do conforto, tendo em conta a multiculturalidade, pelo que entre as atividades
realizadas, foi elaborado um guia de promoção de conforto sociocultural, para pais, durante
o primeiro ano de vida, em três idiomas: Português, Inglês e Bengali.
Desta forma, este percurso permitiu o desenvolvimento e aquisição de
conhecimentos e competências técnico-científicas, éticas, comunicacionais e relacionais,
quer na dimensão de mestre em Enfermagem, quer no domínio da Enfermagem
Especializada em Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica que sustenta uma prática profissional mais
competente, atual e baseada na evidência.
This review is under the Nursing master’s degree in the area of Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist of Catholic University of Portugal. Its main objective is the critical and reflective analysis for the development of skills related to the Pediatric Clinical Nurse specialist pathway. The subject developed – Promotion of Comfort in Children and young people health - arosed from the specialized nursing intervention for children, young people and their families. The main objective is the promotion of healthcare as well as prevention of complications and selfcare in any condition of Nursing care. Comfort is a multidimensional concept, required for the maintenance and promotion of well-being, manifesting an intrinsic element to nursing care. It is essential that Nurses identify children/young people Comfort needs, who have not been met, in order to accomplish an appropriated care plan to better satisfy them, ensuring an overall care. In order to support the clinical assessment topic – Promotion of comfort of children and young people – my report was based on Kolcaba’s comfort theory and on a scoping review of Non-pharmacological pain relief interventions in children, meeting this way the scientific evidence and aplicability of this theory. During the placements, focusing on the main target of my report as Pediatric Clinic Nurse Specialist, it was developed a health care plan, built on specific objectives and main activities. It was carried out a reflection in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, that led into the publication of a poster submitted to the III Seminar of Nursing Master’s – Specialized Nursing: Protagonist in the Present, Innovative in the future, during the pandemic situation COVID 19, lived at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, threats to Neonatal comfort and ethical implications -, in addition to providing care to the newborn and his family. In the oncology pediatric ward, alongside to providing specialized nursing care to the children/young people and their families, the goal was to developed skills as pediatric clinical Nurse Specialist, through awareness of communication strategies of the nursing team, as well as the proposal of restructuring a physical space on the ward for these moments. Regarding primary health care placement, goals related to the promotion of comfort were set, considering, the multiculturalism. This way was executed a guide promoting sociocultural comfort for parents during the first year, in three languages: Portuguese, English and Bengali, among other various activities.
