Guerra Junqueiro (1850-1923) ocupa lugar de relevo na visibilidade expressiva e sintomĆ”tica do fenĆ³meno anticlerical portuguĆŖs, tendo o seu anticlericalismo expressĆ£o particularmente violenta em A Velhice do Padre Eterno (1885), com manifesto prolongamento em PĆ”tria (1896), a ponto de ambas as obras terem sido apontadas como āo evangelho do anticlericalismo em Portugalā. Todavia, a visibilidade do anticlericalismo junqueiriano precede em muitos anos aquela primeira obra. O presente artigo ocupa-se, pois, das raĆzes do anticlericalismo de Junqueiro. Para o efeito, cruzando argumentos e ādemolindo adquiridosā, persegue em particular a composiĆ§Ć£o poĆ©tica āO Cura da minha aldeiaā, ainda nĆ£o devidamente historiada e inscrita na Obras de Guerra Junqueiro (Poesia).
Guerra Junqueiro (1850-1923) occupies a prominent place in the expressive and symptomatic visibility of the Portuguese anticlerical phenomenon, his anticlericalism having a particularly violent expression in A Velhice do Padre Eterno (1885), with a manifest extension in PĆ”tria (1896), having both works pointed out as āthe gospel of anticlericalism in Portugalā. However, the visibility of Junqueira's anticlericalism precedes that first work in many years. Hence, the present article is concerned with the roots of Junqueiro's anticlericalism. To this end, crossing arguments and ādemolished the previous acquiredā, he particularly pursues the poetical composition āO Cura da minha aldeiaā, not yet properly recorded and inscribed in Obras de Guerra Junqueiro (Poetry).
