O presente relatório surge no âmbito da Unidade Curricular Estágio Final e Relatório do 18º Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem com Especialização em Enfermagem Médico- Cirúrgica na área de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica da Escola de Enfermagem (Porto) da Universidade Católica Portuguesa. O estágio realizou-se em dois contextos de aprendizagem, um serviço de medicina intensiva polivalente e um serviço de urgência, ambos na região norte do país. O relatório de estágio tem como principais objetivos documentar, analisar e refletir criticamente sobre o processo de aprendizagem desenvolvido ao longo do percurso clínico, valorizando a integração progressiva do conhecimento teórico com as experiências adquiridas nos contextos reais de prestação de cuidados. Pretende-se, desta forma, evidenciar a evolução e consolidação das competências pessoais e profissionais, promovendo uma reflexão contínua, sustentada e rigorosa sobre a prática de enfermagem, a ética profissional, o trabalho em equipa e a organização dos serviços, contribuindo para o fortalecimento da identidade profissional do enfermeiro. Fundamentado numa metodologia crítico-reflexiva, o relatório encontra-se estruturado por domínios de competência e tem como finalidade demonstrar a aquisição dos conhecimentos, aptidões e atitudes que sustentam a obtenção do grau de mestre e do título de enfermeiro especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, na área de Enfermagem à pessoa em situação crítica. O estágio constituiu uma experiência formativa de elevada relevância para o desenvolvimento de competências na prestação de cuidados à pessoa em situação crítica e à sua família, evidenciando-se aprendizagens significativas nas áreas da comunicação, da gestão dos cuidados e dos recursos humanos e materiais, bem como na promoção da dignidade humana e do respeito pela autonomia da pessoa. Estas competências foram desenvolvidas com base em processos deliberativos de tomada de decisão e em práticas fundamentadas na evidência científica e na reflexão crítica, contribuindo de forma expressiva para o aprofundamento da capacidade de análise, síntese e aplicação crítica do conhecimento científico à prática clínica especializada. Complementarmente, foi desenvolvida uma revisão scoping intitulada "Estratégias de avaliação e prevenção do delirium na pessoa adulta internada no serviço de medicina intensiva", tendo surgido a oportunidade de participar no Encontro Nacional do Centro de Investigação Interdisciplinar em Saúde da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, com apresentação da mesma em formato de póster, em dezembro de 2025, o que constituiu uma oportunidade de divulgação científica e de valorização profissional. Em síntese, este percurso de estágio permitiu a consolidação de competências clínicas, científicas e reflexivas essenciais, reforçando o compromisso com a qualidade e humanização dos cuidados.
This report was developed within the scope of the Final Internship and Report Course of the 18th Master's Program in Nursing with a Specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the field of Nursing for Critically Ill Patients, at the School of Nursing (Porto) of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. The internship was carried out in two learning contexts: a general intensive care unit and an emergency service, both in the northern region of the country. The internship report has as its main objective to document, analyze, and critically reflect on the learning process developed throughout the clinical path, valuing the progressive integration of theoretical knowledge with the experiences acquired in real care delivery contexts. In this way, it aims to highlight the evolution and consolidation of personal and professional skills, promoting continuous, well-supported, and rigorous reflection on nursing practice, professional ethics, teamwork, and service organization, contributing to the strengthening of the professional identity of the nurse. Based on a critical-reflective methodology, the report is structured by competence domains and aims to demonstrate the acquisition of the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that support the attainment of the master's degree and the title of specialist nurse in Medical- Surgical Nursing, in the area of Nursing to the person in a critical situation. The internship constituted a formative experience of high relevance for the development of skills in providing care to the person in a critical situation and their family, with significant learning evident in the areas of communication, care management, and human and material resources, as well as in the promotion of human dignity and respect for the person's autonomy. These skills were developed based on deliberative decision-making processes and practices grounded in scientific evidence and critical reflection, contributing significantly to the deepening of the ability to analyze, synthesize, and critically apply scientific knowledge to specialized clinical practice. Additionally, a scoping review entitled "Assessment and Prevention Strategies for Delirium in Adult Patients Admitted to the Intensive Care Unit" was developed, with the opportunity arising to participate in the National Meeting of the Interdisciplinary Health Research Center of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa presenting it in poster format in December 2025, this moment constituted an opportunity for scientific dissemination and professional development. In summary, this internship experience enabled the consolidation of essential clinical, scientific, and reflective competencies, reinforcing a commitment to the quality and humanization of care
