As organizações são feitas de pessoas para pessoas e, atualmente, é cada vez mais
notável a preocupação com a sua vertente humana. Para as organizações alcançarem o sucesso
têm de investir na formação dos seus colaboradores, bem como no desenvolvimento das suas
competências nos níveis técnico-profissionais, mas também de competências emocionais.
As organizações têm, cada vez mais, a consciência da importância de cuidar e potenciar
o seu capital humano, social e psicológico, pois só assim conseguem chegar ao patamar de
excelência: se as suas pessoas também o chegarem. Para que se estabeleça um ambiente em que
os colaboradores se sintam bem e felizes - um bom ambiente - é essencial as organizações
trabalharem com autenticidade, psicologia positiva e inteligência emocional.
A existência multigeracional nas organizações, influência a forma como se comunica e
vive em ambiente empresarial. Por sua vez, cada geração, com as suas respetivas
particularidades, apresenta o seu contributo para os níveis de inteligência emocional, contidos
em cada organização. Posto isto, o presente estudo investiga a influência da cultura geracional
nos níveis de inteligência emocional dos colaboradores da LHH Portugal.
Nesta dissertação, foi possível concluir que todas as gerações presentes na LHH Portugal
apresentam um bom nível de inteligência emocional, destacando-se a geração dos Baby
Boomers.
Organizations are made by people for people and, nowadays, the concern with their human aspect is increasingly noticeable. Several studies point to the importance and need, in order to achieve success, for organizations to invest in their employees and in their training, both in terms of technical-professional skills and emotional skills. In other words, organizations are increasingly aware of the importance of caring for and enhancing their human, social and psychological capital, as this is the only way they can reach the level of excellence: if their people also reach it. In order to establish an environment in which employees feel good and happy - a good environment - it is essential that organizations work with authenticity, positive psychology and emotional intelligence. The multigenerational existence in organizations influences the way you communicate and live in an organization. In turn, each generation, with its respective particularities, presents its contribution to the levels of emotional intelligence present in the organization. That said, this study investigates the influence of generational culture on the levels of emotional intelligence of LHH Portugal employees. In this dissertation, it was possible to conclude that all generations present at LHH Portugal demonstrate a good level of emotional intelligence, especially the Baby Boomer generation.
