| dc.description.abstract | O ano de 2015 foi marcado pela crise humanitária de refugiados vindos de países da Àfrica e do Médio Oriente. Deslocados forçadamente que, em decorrência de perseguições, conflitos e pobreza, arriscaram suas vidas na dramática travessia do Mar Mediterrâneo em busca de encontrarem acolhida para uma vida digna e segura em países europeus, dentre os quais Portugal. O processo de acolhimento e integração àqueles que conseguiram entrar na União Europeia envolveu Estados e sociedade civil, mostrando a importância desta articulação. Neste sentido, a dissertação ora apresentada pretende dar a conhecer como o Estado Português atuou no acolhimento e integração de refugiados na vaga de 2015 e o papel que a Igreja Católica, através do Serviço Jesuíta aos Refugiados-JRS desempenhou naquele contexto, especialmente na cidade de Lisboa. O enquadramento metodológico esteve pautado na abordagem qualitativa de conjuntos documentais formados por Leis, Decretos, Ações, Regulamentos, Relatórios e Livro Branco, que permitiram alcançar dados sobre as motivações, decisões, intervenções, formas e procedimentos de acolhimento e integração encaminhadas pela União Europeia, Estado Português e pelo JRS, bem como as discussões promovidas por autores especialistas no tema. A pesquisa demonstrou que o JRS-Portugal, como Organização não Governamental da Igreja Católica, foi (e continua a ser) um local de apoio e referência, onde refugiados encontraram (e continuam a encontrar) serviços fundamentais de acolhimento e integração. Por fim, concluiu-se que o JRS-Portugal, alinhado a políticas públicas de carácter nacional e municipal, contribuiu para os Direitos dos Refugiados no âmbito da proteção, assistência e integração ao atender variadas demandas dos refugiados em Portugal na vaga de 2015. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The year 2015 was marked by the humanitarian crisis involving refugees from countries in Africa and the Middle East. Forcibly displaced people who, as a result of persecution, conflict and poverty, risked their lives in the dramatic crossing of the Mediterranean Sea in search of shelter for a dignified and safe life in European countries, including Portugal. The process of welcoming and integrating those who managed to join the European Union involved States and civil society, showing the importance of this articulation. In this sense, the dissertation presented here aims to make known the way in which the Portuguese State acted in the reception and integration of refugees in the 2015 wave and the role that the Catholic Church, through the Jesuit Refugee Service-JRS, played in this context, especially in the city of Lisbon. The methodological framework was based on the qualitative approach of documentary sets formed by Laws, Decrees, Actions, Regulations, Reports and White Paper, which allowed data to be obtained on the motivations, decisions, interventions, forms and procedures of reception and integration forwarded. by the European Union, Portuguese State and JRS, as well as discussions promoted by authors specialized in the topic. The research demonstrated that JRS-Portugal, as a Non-Governmental Organization of the Catholic Church, was (and continues to be) a place of support and reference, where refugees found (and continue to find) fundamental reception and integration services. Finally, it was concluded that JRS-Portugal, aligned with national and municipal public policies, contributed to the Rights of Refugees in the scope of protection, assistance and integration by satisfying the diverse demands of refugees in Portugal in the 2015 wave. | eng |
