Resumo(s)
O relatório pretende descrever as atividades e competências desenvolvidas no
e saúde pública realizado no ACES Porto Oriental.
This report aims to describe the activities and competencies developed during the stage of master's degree with specialization in community nursing and public health accomplished at the Eastern Port ACES. In addition of the activities carried out in this group of health centers the student has developed a health planning. The theme chosen for the health planning were the knowledge, beliefs and motivation of the ACES professionals concerning the donation of umbilical cord blood. This work wanted to evaluate and promote the conditions of these professionals to get involved in the donation promotion. In the situation diagnosis was used the method of quantitative descriptive research, with a transversal cutting, by applying a question form and further analysis. It was found in this diagnosis that 80% of the sample recognizes the importance of public bank and the need to involve primary health care in promoting cord blood donation. Similarly 75% of professionals assume themselves as motivated to promote donation, however 52% do not have a facility to explain the concept of donation, 61% are unable to have reliable information about the thematic and 66% consider not having adequate knowledge to enlighten users about the utility and purpose of umbilical cord blood which was confirmed in the assessment of knowledge. In the intervention phase were planned and operationalized the projects "umbilical cord blood donation and the primary health care" and "a gift for life". The project evaluation showed that the activities were able to increase the knowledge of professionals to levels above 90%, as established in the targets, which in turn had a positive impact on motivation these professionals to the donation process. The study, in addition to the immediate results, highlighted the need to develop partnerships and medium/long term projects and allowed the realization of similar research in other ACES
