O presente relatório temcomo finalidade descrever as atividades por mim realizadas no
estágio de Cuidados Paliativos, inserido no Mestrado de Cuidados Paliativos da
Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Apresenta um resumo autobiográfico e uma descrição ao meu percurso profissional até
à realização deste estágio, assim como uma exposição sobre a minha área de formação,
a sua evolução histórica, e como condiciona a necessidade de formação na área da
Medicina Paliativa.
Em seguida relatarei os diversos aspetos relativos ao estágio, nomeadamente uma
descrição da Unidade de Cuidados Continuados e Paliativos do Hospital Luz Lisboa, da
equipa, e da atividade assistencial realizada, em contexto de internamento, consulta
externa e componente formativa.
Propus-me tambémà elaboração de umrelato de caso de umdoente acompanhado por
mim durante o estágio, com uma reflexão crítica e identificação de pontos de
aprendizagem.
Inserido no Mestrado em Cuidados Paliativos, e na sequência do estágio realizado,
proponho-me à realização de um estudo retrospetivo sobre a prevalência de
polifarmácia na população de doentes oncológicos em fim de vida, cujo projeto está
descrito no final deste relatório.
The purpose of this report is to describe the activities carried out by me in the Palliative Care internship, included in the Master's Degree in Palliative Care at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. It presents an autobiographical summary and a description of my professional career until this internship, as well as an exhibition about my academic and professional training, its historical evolution, and how it conditions the need for training in the area of Palliative Medicine. I will describe the various aspects related to the internship, namely a description of the Continuous and Palliative Care Unit of the Hospital Luz Lisboa, it’s team, and the activities carried out, in the context of internment, consultation and complementary training. I also proposed to prepare a case report of a patient accompanied by me during the internship, with a critical reflection and identification of learning points. As part of the Master's Degree in Palliative Care, I propose a retrospective study on the prevalence of polypharmacy in the population of end-of-life cancer patients, whose project is described at the end of this report.
