Abstract(s)
a Unidade Letiva 4 – Construir a fraternidade, do 5.º ano do 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. O
This report is the result of the Supervised Teaching Practice where we work in Teaching Unit 4 - Building the fraternity, of the 5th grade of the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education. The theme we cover in this teaching unit focuses on the concept of fraternity and the challenges of building a more fraternal world. We live in a society where the technocratic paradigm rules. Selfishness and consumerism take over the world and threaten fraternal ties. But the essence of the human being, created in God's image, is love and relationship. Thus, a paradigm shift is required. Integral ecology, which addresses all aspects inherent to the human being, is presented as a new paradigm to follow. We should begin to see each other as an end in itself and not as a means to fulfill our desires for power and wealth. As a relationship being and a being of love, the human being feels responsible for the other and for all Creation. The ability of humans to forgive and care for others allows the wounds that result from threats to fraternity to heal. These threats, such as hatred, war and injustice, require a concerted effort by all nations to combat them. Only with everyone's commitment is it possible to build a more fraternal world.
