Abstract(s)
Two decades after the start of the 21st century, Portuguese cinema is seen as greatly sought after internationally, with a regular production rhythm akin to a small industry in a country of small socio-economic dimensions. In recent years – following the ebbs and flows of a world economy cycling up and down – Portuguese cinema has strengthened a series of trends in production models and aesthetic and artistic aspects.
