Por ser um percurso ao ar livre e envolver o contacto directo com o meio ambiente, este tipo de percursos podem apresentar alguns perigos para os turistas/peregrinos, relacionados com o relevo, fauna e flora desconhecidos, condições climatéricas, etc…. Esta apresentação tem por objectivo abordar as questões de segurança relacionadas com percursos pedestres, em geral e no caso concreto do Caminho Central de Santiago, bem como as boas práticas recomendadas para a redução do risco, permitindo aos peregrinos e/ou turistas efectuar o percurso com um nível de segurança acrescido

- Reconstrução histórica virtual do retábulo maneirista da Igreja do Espírito Santo de Évora, uma propostaPublication . Pereira, Catarina; Amaral, Vanda; Relvas, Cátia; Nunes, Margarida; Henriques, Frederico; Ferreira, Teresa; Candeias, AntónioA história e evolução do património integrado da Igreja do Espírito Santo em Évora é complexa e pouco estudada. O retábulo da capela-mor, mandado construir para a Igreja do Colégio Jesuíta de Évora, após duas reformas religiosas, uma invasão francesa, vários anos de abandono e vários proprietários, muito mudou mas poucos registos sobreviveram. Uma observação preliminar do altar levantou várias questões, nomeadamente sobre a policromia original, muito deteriorada, e sobre as alterações estruturais, evidentes na zona central do tramo superior. Neste trabalho apresenta-se uma proposta para a reconstrução histórica e o restauro digital do que poderá ter sido o aspecto do retábulo maneirista do altar-mor nos finais do século XVII. O tratamento digital produziu imagens 2D e modelos 3D de baixa resolução. Para tal, recorreu-se a programas de tratamento de imagem e a técnicas de fotogrametria digital de curto alcance. Desenvolveu-se um trabalho multidisciplinar que integrou a informação histórica com análise de materiais e das técnicas artísticas. Foram recolhidas descrições da igreja nos poucos documentos históricos que se conhecem e sobreviveram até aos nossos dias. Pôde-se ainda fazer comparações com retábulos de outras igrejas contemporâneas da ordem Jesuíta, nomeadamente, da Igreja de São Roque em Lisboa, da igreja do Colégio São João Evangelista no Funchal, na ilha da Madeira, e da igreja de Santo Inácio em Angra do Heroísmo, na ilha Terceira. Foram realizadas análises in-situ por espectroscopia de fluorescência de raio-X e captaram- se imagens de pormenores com um microscópio digital. Foram ainda recolhidas algumas micro-amostras para preparação de cortes estratigráficos que foram depois observados por microscopia óptica. Por último, os cortes estratigráficos, foram analisados por microscopia electrónica de varrimento acoplada a espectroscopia de raio-X por dispersão em energia e ainda espectroscopia micro-Raman. A reconstrução a partir das ferramentas digitais pretende contribuir para um melhor entendimento da evolução histórica do altar. O resultado é publicado numa plataforma on-line, disponibilizando ao público em geral, de uma forma visual, a integração de toda a informação recolhida.
- El arte público y sus especificidadesPublication . Abreu, José GuilhermeBased on the assumption that Public Art is a principle for enhancing and improving collective environment (Lorraine Cox, 1996), our communication is focused on the problem of the distinction between Public Art and Contemporary Art practices and aims. Thought as a principle for enhancing the collective environment, Public Art engages an opportunity and a stimulus for the advance and the expansion of the public sphere, by allowing citizen participation and increasing social interaction. Because it functions as device for the registration of passed memories or prospecting utopias. Because it attempts to impart a more human sense of collective life. Because it expands the present communication media in the public space beyond advertising or signage that visually pollutes it (J. Maderuelo, 2001), the implementation of public art programs designed for and within a given community, improves community life and allows that our cities become spaces of conviviality and socio- cultural interaction (M. Miles, 1997). This paper intents to point out and to critically analyze different forms and processes of intervention and citizen interaction that are strictly specific to Public Art, both in historical periods and in more recent times, which help to distinguish its conceptual models (S. Armajani, 1999) and its production processes and means (A. Remesar, 1997). First of all, we shall point out some historical forms of civic participation, such as public subscriptions. Secondly, we will refer to, and discuss, some recent public art programs in Portugal, in which different forms of collective and community interaction endorsed by specific cases will be considered, as for instance the International Museum of Contemporary Sculpture of Santo Tirso, in the field of pedagogical approach aiming to help artistic perception and aesthetical awareness, and Paredes Public Art Circuit, in the field of creating community involvement programs, implemented during its programming period.
- Infografia web-based aplicada ao Património: o retábulo-mor da Igreja do Espírito Santo em ÉvoraPublication . Pereira, Catarina; Henriques, Frederico; Carriço, Nuno; Amaral, Vanda; Gonçalves, Alexandre; Ferreira, Teresa; Candeias, AntónioNos estudos de Património, nomeadamente para a Conservação e Restauro, a informação produzida é multidisciplinar e facilmente abundante. Alguma desta informação, em particular, a informação científica, normalmente associada ao estudo dos materiais, fornece dados essenciais, no entanto, nem sempre tem uma leitura directa, ou é menos acessível ao público em geral. No presente trabalho, explora-se a infografia web-based como forma privilegiada de divulgação. Na prática, o projecto materializa-se numa plataforma para a internet. A elaboração de um relatório prévio para a conservação e restauro dos retábulos em talha da igreja do Espírito Santo em Évora reuniu uma equipa multidisciplinar que possibilitou o desenvolvimento de um estudo aprofundado para além da simples avaliação do estado de conservação [1]. Recolheram-se informações históricas e estudaram-se os materiais e técnicas artísticas. Os dados recolhidos permitiram inclusivamente uma reconstrução histórica digital e modelos 3D por fotogrametria digital de baixa resolução [2, 3], informação que agora se pretendem disponibilizar ao público. Apresenta-se assim um modelo de plataforma onde estará reunida toda informação recolhida. Uma forma clara, visual e até interactiva de partilhar informação onde o observador decide o nível de informação que pretende. Usar-se-á como exemplo o estudo do retábulo do altar-mor da igreja do Espírito Santo de Évora [4]. Subjacente a todo o modelo de representação, será debatida a forma de visionamento, apresentação de resultados e a respectiva base de dados.
- Como são descritos pelos professores os alunos de hoje? Reflexões a partir de um estudo realizado em agrupamentos/escolas TEIPPublication . Trigo, Luísa RibeiroThe current study aimed to analyze the perceptions reported by educators and teachers from Priority Intervention Educational Territories, from pre-school to secondary education, about their students. Participated in this study 53 teachers from four schools in the north of Portugal. Data were collected through a questionnaire containing open- ended questions, the answers of which were analysed through content analysis. Data allowed to identify essential dimensions in promoting learning, that, through the vision of the teachers, are absent or insufficient in students nowadays. Teachers reported a reduced students involvement in their learning process, in the emotional, cognitive and behavioral domains, being described as unmotivated, disinterested, without study skills and work habits, with low school expectations, with concentration difficulties, without goals or ambitions, slightly engaged, with difficulties in complying with school and classroom rules. References to the students’ family background have also emerged. Some questions are suggested for reflection concerning the ways to build solutions that promote a better learning.

In fact, in the segments where BMW Motorrad Portugal competes, we are observing growth rates of 20% from year to year. Therefore, there exist business opportunities that no brand can afford to ignore, and BMW Motorrad Portugal must not fall behind. With the possible opening of a new dealership, new opportunities emerge and Carlos Martins, the head-manager of BMW Motorrad Portugal, has to attain as much positive value as possible from those opportunities. The challenge is to find the best location for the new dealership, with the north or the south of Portugal as possible locations, while taking into account all the variables that enter in the process and new perspectives for the actual structure of BMW Motorrad Portugal, namely the aftersales' services and pricing strategies along the supply chain. The goal is to maximize profits and fulfil clients' needs. To do so, the cross-points are whether to locate the new dealership in the north of Portugal, where there exists high density levels of population, or in the south of Portugal, where we can find the higher levels of financial affluence, and whether a new after-sales paradigm should be implemented or a new pricing strategy within the supply chain should be taken into consideration.
- Better budgeting methods : a comparative effect analysis on traditional budgeting problemsPublication . Yet, the traditional budgeting process with its inherent flaws has remained relatively stable for decades. In order to stay competitive, companies need to improve their budgeting process by implementing Better Budgeting methods. The aim of this research was to develop a framework that helps companies to identify their budgeting problems and address them more efficiently with fitting Better Budgeting methods. Through a detailed literature review, a comprehensive list of budgeting problems was developed and explained, which can act as a checklist for companies to evaluate which problems they are facing. In addition, a theoretical framework was developed that matches Better Budgeting methods and the respective traditional budgeting problems they are able to solve/decrease. A survey that tested the framework with actual organizations was used to validate the theoretical results. The results proved a strong correlation between the implementation of certain Better Budgeting methods and the reduction of certain traditional budgeting problems and therefore supported the managerial and academic value of the developed framework; however additional layers, such as company size, industry, or quality of method implementation need to be evaluated in order to increase precision of the framework.
