Currently, online activity is shifting towards mobile, namely smartphone platforms and applications. Accordingly, businesses and society are using their mobile devices to perform and agile daily activities such as planning agendas, banking, shopping or searching. The present dissertation intends to analyze the Portuguese market feasibility for a beauty and wellbeing booking platform, book4beauty. The business idea consists on a mobile platform to speed up the search, booking, and payment of the prementioned type of services. Hence, users by filtering their desired location, service and price range immediately obtain the available spaces along with the booking and payment option. No other player, in the Portuguese market, is performing the same service as book4beauty does. However, before establishing the business, its feasibility must be studied. Thereby, the beauty market potential as well as the two target groups – service providers and customers - were assessed. To do so, a deductive approach was used. The research applied a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods with the data being gathered from primary and secondary sources. The main findings of the present research suggest that there is market potential in combination with providers and customers´ interest, need and acceptance for a beauty booking platform. Notwithstanding, further research is highly recommended to carefully proceed with the business idea. One option is developing a prototype to perform lunch as a pretest that would assist the demand examination process.
