Para compor a sua biografia da Rainha Santa Isabel, o padre jesuíta Pedro Perpinhão, professor e orador do Colégio das Artes, em meados do século XVI, consultou fontes históricas escritas, para conferir ao seu relato verdade e credibilidade. Com este artigo pretende-se estabelecer o paralelo entre o texto de Perpinhão e essas fontes históricas.
In order to compose his biography of Queen Saint Elizabeth, the jesuit priest Pedro Perpinhão, teacher and speaker of the Colégio das Artes, in the middle of the sixteenth century, seeked information on historical writings, to give truth and credibility to his words. This paper establishes the parallel between his text and those historical writings.
